My Mom, Joanne

Sunday, July 20, 2014

Dear Joanne's Spark Friends,
Mom asked me to send a note to all her friends to explain why you may not have recently heard from her lately.
Mom has been hospitalized since June 27th with kidney stone, sepsis, and additional problems that affected her heart and lungs. She spent 2 1/2 weeks in CCU on a ventilator a BPAP mask and against all odds and the power of prayer miraculously was moved out of CCU to a regular room. Even though she is not fully recovered and is battling other issues, last week she was transported to Bay Tree where she will receive therapy to once again be able to stand and walk. Hopefully, she will recover and once again be able to join all her dear Spark friends online.
Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
Her daughter,
Debra Salls

    Dear Debra,

Thank you for sharing news about Joanne...I was also in bed rest for the past one week and not too active on SP. Please let Joanne know when you see her that I am praying for her and special thoughts coming her way. Give her a warm big hug from her Indian friend Mani.

Hope she heals soon and will be well enough to join us on SP soon.

Hugs, Prayers & Blessings

Debra, thank you for letting us know about Joanne. I'm sorry she's having these health problems and I hope she will soon be well enough to return home. Home is a great place to recuperate.
Tell her that Gloria says Hi and that I'm thinking of her and praying for her.
Thank you so much. Gloria

The last visit to the vet cost me 96 dollars. I have to take her back today. Wonder what that will cost? She had a staff infection..
I have a vent to write. When will the hair styles change? The girl/women are peeking between/ around or through their hair hanging in their face trying to see. Now another , The bare boobs. Their upper clothing is made to open to the waist. What is next ,no upper clothes or none at all? I guess I am showing my "young" age. I guess most of the men like it. What is this telling us?
It is hot here and we MAY get some rain. We had a good rain a couple days ago, but, we need more in my area.
My hubby sleeps most of the day. He is up and down at night. I think I told you he has NPH and my getting to the later stages. He is forgetful ,short term memory.
Hello to all my net friends.
Joanne

    Hi JoAnne,

Fitting commentary on the way the young people dress. You rightly said it that our sensibilities at our age are different.

Sorry to hear about your DH.... well I am sailing in a similar boat

Hugs, Prayers & Blessings

Hello Everybody..
It is a very hot day here in my part of Florida. I live a mile from the Gulf Of Mexico. Sadly I don't get my share of rain. It is either racing to the gulf or inland from the gulf. I had to get out and water some plants today. I think I will start giving some away.
I am a little concerned about my pug. She has some black spots and is shedding a lot of her hair.So I guess I will visit a pet store with her tomorrow and see what they can tell me. The vet told me once not to worry about it,but, I feel there must be something to help the problem. Just to go through his door would be 50+ dollars. If any of you can tell me something, feel free.
I have been trying to get busy with my quilting. Got a good start. I have a bit of left over fabric from other quilts so I am using that. It may be a lot of color. HA!
I have a baby blanket ,crotchet,I call a hopeful blanket.
I hope everyone is having a good week.
Joanne

Hi Joanne. I can't tell you a thing about your pug but I do know how expensive the vet can be! I hope you find a solution to this problem and quick.

Hot here too, up in the 80's and seems much hotter with the humidity and no breeze.

You sure do some really nice things to fill in your time, would love to see pictures of some of your quilts/crochet.

Hugs, Gloria

Hello Everybody..
I hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day..
My weekend has been interesting. My daughter came and brought my G/son ,his wife and two very active G/Grandsons. You should have seen my house. We had to baby proof the whole thing!!!Of course my daughter put most of it back together before they left today..And boy can they have a tantrum when they don't get their way. I guess we forgot how active children are..
I ate too much. I guess I will get a shocker in the morning when I get on the scale..
Have a good week .

How blessed we are to have GGbabies. And when they misbehave, Mom and Dad get to handle them! We get to enjoy the good times!

sounds like you had a great time though. It is always nice when they come to visit but not for too long. LOL. Nice that they put it all back in place. emoticon Kids can be a handful if you aren't used to them. emoticon

Ahh, we're getting a tad bit old to contend with these wee ones! Very nice that they come to visit though.

How are you doing these days? Don't worry about having eaten a bit too much, it happens.
