10 Pounds Lost & LONG day ahead

Tuesday, August 19, 2014

I have lost 10 pounds since last Wednesday! I am stoked. Even though I am 245 now, I know that I am headed in the right direction. I have the focus that I haven't had in several years. it's time to get back to the person that I am meant to be!

I have to teach an Abs Class and Pound Class today. That might not be a lot to some people, but this is after teaching my students and sitting through a meeting with administration followed by 2 interviews for a new teacher at my school. This is going to be such a LONG day! I hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Back & Fat

Saturday, August 16, 2014

Yeah, it's time to really get back on track. When, I look at pictures of myself now I get disgusted because 2 short years ago, I had hit my goal weight. Now, I'm fighting with my weight again. To top it off, I'm a fitness instructor. I've lost 5 pounds this week.

I actually ate off of the skinnylicious menu last night at the Cheesecake Factory. It was so hard to do because my boyfriend ate fried shrimp and fries. He's such a loser lol!

I love the SkinnyLicious meno. The Tuscan Chicken is my favorite. In fact I liked it so much I worked up a recipe for it and put it in the recipes. It's really easy to make, too. Fried foods are hard to resist but there is no way I can limit my portion and make that a choice. Bet your BF is skinny, too.

And He Answered...

Monday, February 24, 2014

So, I have spent the past couple of months trying to figure out why I am gaining so much weight. I've cried and I've prayed. I've prayed and I've cried, and I have finally received an answer that arguably came from the very mouth of God.

Why have I gained all of this weight even though I am working out at least 2 hours a day now?

It's because I'm eating like the 300 lb Ebie!!!

Wow! What a revelation. It doesn't matter how much time I put in at the gym, I am not helping myself if I leave the gym and go to Mcdonald's and order a Bacon Mcdouble meal larged. Or how about the 2 bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits I've been eating every morning before work???

I have self-sabatoged myself and it has taken me this long to see it!

Well, now that I've found the reason, it's time to jump back on this horse and eat like the 150 lb Ebie:)

Yes, the Lord will give us answers just as plain as day. I am responding because I know exactly what you're talking about and I have the same situation. I have the exercise well under control, but not my eating.
The eating has to fall in line to lose weight. I do believe that the Lord has the answers and will help us if we allow Him to do it!
God bless!

Might I suggest something simpler than 'summoning strength'.

1. Plan
- What you're going to eat for the day. In rough terms.
- What you will eat for the week when you go shopping.
- What you're going to eat at each meal.
- Take the portion you are going to eat, before you eat it.
2. Measure
- I recommend a digital scale; makes self-deception all the more difficult.
3. Track
- Write it down before you eat it. Enter it as soon as you're able.

You're a star. You've done it. We know you'll get back on track.

He ALWAYS answers. Emotional eating is so hard to break, but you've come too far to go back. Just remember how unhappy you were when you were the "Old" you. Try looking on Youtube for "self-love" Affirmations - guided meditations and they even have some for Weight Loss, they really have helped jump start my road to recovery. Good luck and keep on pushing on!! emoticon

What a great revelation! You must be so energized to be headed back on your intended path. Every time I weigh in (once per week) I always update my profile so that Spark automatically updates the number of calories I should be ingesting in order to reach my goal weight by my goal date. It's a great feature of the program. Sending you a big high five and looking forward to sharing your successes with you. :)

All the best!

Over & Over

Thursday, February 20, 2014

My life has literally spiraled out of control. I find myself almost 100 lbs heavier than my lowest weight; however, toned and lean. I find myself going through another divorce and begging God to allow me to go back to the person that I use to be. I do realize that I am the only human being that can make these choices that I make every day, and I'm ready to choose life! It is time to stop playing the victim and actually get back to being me.

Love the story about you on Spark I read today. You are so worth the hard work. You know that, but it's good to hear. emoticon
It's hard to hear family members say 200 is ok and not being supportive. I have the opposite problem. My husband has always been thinner than me so I feel I can never loose enough. He doesn't say I'm not pretty, but he doesn't say good job either.
Keep on tracking and motivating others!

Lord, your child is calling out to you. Please hear her prayers during her time of need. Lord you know everything the about her: her past, her present and her future... though she can not see past her current situation you know of the blessing you have in store for her if she faints not. Lord, bless my sister with strength that she does not grow weary in well doing. All praises unto your name God. Amen!

SWEETHEART, I HATE TO TELL YOU HOW MANY POUNDS THAT I HAVE LOST OVER THE YEARS, ONLY TO FIND THEM AGAIN. A LIFE STYLE CHANGE IS THE ONLY WAY AND YOU HAVE DONE THAT BEFORE. YOU.ARE GOING TO HAVE FALLS, YOU JUST GET UP AND DUST OFF YOUR BEHIND AND GO ON. FIRST AND FORMOST PUT YOURSELF FIRST. YOU ARE WORTH IT.AND YOU CAN DO IT.THERE IS A SAYING I REALLY LIKE AND I THINK IT SAYS IT ALL.

KEEP ENCOURAGING, BECAUSE YOUR WORDS MAY BE THE ONLY PILLARS OF STRENGTH FOR SOMEONE WHO IS PULLING THEMSELVES UP TO STAND AGAIN AND LEAN ON. emoticon emoticon emoticon

You've done it once, you'll do it again. Life happens and each day that you live you'll be thrown curve balls, but your reaction is the key. Keep striving knowing that when you feel too tired to go on GOD will carry you until you have your second wind. HE's ALWAYS there for you even if you don't feel HIM. You're worth all the efforts you put forth in this life, don't let regaining weight, divorce, anyone or anything define you...YOU define you. You're beautiful outside and although I do not know you, I can tell you are beautiful inside too. You have a lot of people rooting for you so get your healthy girl on!! emoticon emoticon emoticon
