Feeling bummed. I've been doing pretty well with the nutrition, but I did slip this weekend. I have just been so hungry the past few days. I haven't gained weight, but I didn't lose either.

I picked up my uncle's 10 lbs weights yesterday, and I've had a tension neck ache/migraine since. Doing ice and heat along with aspirin and ibprofren. I hate being fragile. (I had lifted 20lbs the Tuesday before just fine.)

Just feeling discouraged. I know that I am doing the right things, but pain and stress trigger over-eating. Over-eating triggers self disappointment.

Anyone have any fitness suggestions for someone who has been struggling with chronic pain from neck and ankle injuries?

try walking, even though you have had ankle problems, get into a pool and walk in the water. I think a good pilates teacher might help too

you need to do exercises that stretch the muscles

I know how you feel. The same thing happens to me in terms of the neck pain. I have found that often it is from not having stretched enough. Try some stretches before and after things like lifting. Also, give yourself a break. Maybe lift weights every other day or do less reps. As far as overeating goes, I notice that I tend to do it when I am cutting out too much from my diet. Restricting too much causes us to want to eat everything. Opt for lower fat alternatives and better snack options. I hope at least part of this helps. Good luck. Don't beat yourself up about anything, just know you can do it.

Me on July 13, 2013

Had fun last night at my friend's wedding. Actually felt beautiful, which I am working on.

Still got a long way to go to make my goal:

Me on August 2006

I can do this.

*hugs* We've all been there. Maybe you need to eat more? Or different balances of fat/protein/calories?

Love the comic though!

It doesn't come overnight, we have to unlearn some stuff and relearn the new healthy stuff while telling our bodies we aren't really hungry! We are all behind you, practise makes perfect but keep practising!

Positive Thoughts

Monday, July 08, 2013

I did well on eating the right amount of carbs and protein for my body today. Working on learning how to eat the right amount of fats. Did a 35 minute workout today: 15 minutes of treadmill cardio, 15 minutes of upper and lower body strength training, and 5 minutes of stretching. I am officially worn out.

emoticon Sore.
