I was feeling like CRAP this morning, didn't even want to walk with my buddy, and considered canceling. Then, I remembered, that she would KILL me if I did. I am so glad that we got out today, I am feeling so much better, and we got in some more running intervals! We added 2 1/2 minutes to our first interval, to make it 7, and did two more sets to make 12 minutes total. She did fantastic! Despite all the whining and requests for a nap, she was phenomenal, I think she is all talk when it comes to not wanting to do it, I think she loves the burn and the pain in her legs! LMAO!!!! Good work today buddy!
Oh! I forgot to mention that I weighed in today, as every day, and I have dropped 4 of my 10 rebound pounds! Hip Hip Hooray! I am on my way!

My best friend and I went for a walk today, and I suggested that we try a little bit of running. So, we ended off our walk with a five minute run, and it felt great! I was SO proud of her, she did fantastic, and at one point I actually had to ask her to slow down! My leg felt fine, and we didn't really push it (thank goodness), so it was a great start to our training for September. Way to go Friend! Can't wait to do it again!

I had a terrific time away, our oldest child participated in a provincial bowling tournament with their best friend and their sibling. My hubby and I and our youngest child also went along for the trip and we had a great time. I didn't worry at all about what I ate, just made sure I didn't get too stuffed! I played baseball yesterday for the first time in about 10 years! I didn't get to base once out of the three times I was at bat, and was feeling pretty discouraged about that. But, then I remembered that I didn't sign up because I am a super star, but because I wanted to have fun,socialize with some new peeps, and spend more time with my new best bud and our hubbies! That was terrific, really excited for next week because my hubby will be there too. Last night, we watched a couple of movies before going to sleep late. We watched THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL, which was okay, and then we watched THE BUCKET LIST. This is one of the best movies I have ever seen, and I want to watch it again. It sure made me appreciate everything I have in my life, and I suggested to my hubby that we should make our own bucket list. Gotta think about that one! Thanks to everyone for all of your comments and suggestions, we really do have to look out for each other when we are having a hard time, because I sure have benefitted from it!

So, I haven't been online all week, no tracking my food, no exercise at all. I am disappointed in myself for just totally getting off track. But, at the same time, I think I really needed some down time. I feel refreshed, ready to get back to it! This is going to be a super crazy weekend, so I am not going to be tracking my cals on SP, but I am still going to eat healthy and get my exercise in. Monday, I will get trackin!

Tomorrow is the official start of Turn Off The Screens Week in our community. Our entire family participates. We have no access to any screen for personal use, entertainment etc from Monday, April 27 until Saturday, May 2, so I will be offline until then. I will be using the nutrition and fitness tracker, but I will not be using email, blogging, or using the message boards at all this week. I will miss everyone, I really enjoy the social network here at SparkPeople, but I want to support my kids in their decision. Have a great week everyone, and "see ya" Saturday!
