Day 8 sugar free complete!

6 veggies

Tracked food all day, stayed in range for 2nd day in a row!

Did lots of laundry, some even got put away. My mom is visiting so she folded, and folded, and folded.

Did some dishes, still not caught up.

Junk box not done

Shopping was a ton of fun, got some new outfits, lots and lots of summer dresses.

A super busy day, and I could have really used another 1/2 a day and the energy to use it! I still have a ton of dishes to do, and I doubt that I will have time for that today. I need groceries, gotta have them for dinner tonight.

Plan for Tuesday: 1 mile run for Day 10 of running streak. No other exercise, taking a mostly rest day.

Day 9 sugar junk free

5 veggies

Track food all day, and stay mid range if not lower to compensate for low activity day.

Laundry needs to be put away, and wash more.

Dishes, try my best to get them done.

JUNK BOX 2, must get cleaned up, so I can set a new task instead of having this on my to do list every day!

SMILE!

Bonus cardio 30 minute bike ride, 10 mins basketball with my oldest kidlet

Day 7 sugar junk free complete!

5 veggies, planned ahead to succeed on this one!

Tracked food all day, in range too!

no laundry, little bit o dishes, no junk box done.

Super day, really enjoyed my first 5K race, running in an event with my buddy made it even more fun than I have on my own. I spent a lot of time today filling up my new lock n locks with fresh produce. I made a tasty veggie stir fry, with four portions to eat over the week. I also portioned out the extra food I made at supper so that we have lots of quick reheat meals available for crunch time days.

Plan for Monday: 1 mile run for Day 9 of running streak. Also aerobics for my other cardio, plus ST. I will do one more week of the dumbbell routine, but I feel the need to change up my routine in regards to ST, need to find a new video here, because this one is getting to be too easy.

5K ish race report

Sunday, May 16, 2010

My running buddy and I participated inthe run for Ovarian Cancer today. The race was to begin at 10 am. There was a huge lineup for the bathrooms as always, so we got in line for that at about 9:20 after registering. We pinned our bibs on our T-shirts, and then decided to move them to our tank tops, the sun was pretty warm even standing still, we wanted the option to remove our T-shirts, thank goodness we did, they were gone before we even started the race! We got lined up at the starting line wherever we could find a spot as we ended up arriving late. We had lined up for the bathroom again, and then done the warmup workout and headed over to the corral to discover that people had already lined up, and we were squeezing in at the last minute. No worries though! It was a pretty tight course, and starting out we got separated because it was so crowded. Once she caught up to me, we were off together. I was getting tired, because unlike my buddy, I hadn't heeded my own advice, and hadn't paced myself at the beginning. I was quite far ahead of her, and she told me at the beginning, if you don't run your own race, if you stay with me when you want to go faster, I will never run another event with you again! So, off I went. Once she caught up, we did some sprints to pass folks, and I ended up pushing too hard again, and I told her to go on, same thing applies! I met up with another lady while I was slowed down to recover, and she really encouraged me, then, my buddy was there, and we were almost to the finish line! My Garmin had me already done the race, so the course was longer than 5K by .17 of a mile. When my buddy appeared, having run back to me after finishing, she said "Let's go, really give it!" We bolted, and I kept saying, are you trying to kill me???????? My finish time for 5K was 32:53, and the course finish time for me was 34:35, I set a new PR! Of course, that is the way it goes any time you participate in an event for the first time! I checked my Garmin upon returning home, and we crossed the finish line going 10.2 miles an hour! My top speed in the past has been just over 7 miles an hour, going all out. It was exhilerating! My buddy said she felt like throwing up! I had to sit down right at the end. Then, we headed home! I was so proud of my buddy, she was totally nervous about this event, having never participated in a race. She kept saying " I actually finished!" Incredible time, can't wait to do our 8K race in July with her.

Great speed at the finish line. I enjoyed your race report. I have found my Garmin 305 is dead accurate. On certified courses my Garmin agrees perfectly with my chip time.

I ran a 4 mile race once and was cruising at about a 9 min/mile pace. I knew I would cross the finish line well under 40 minutes. My time was 40:58. When I checked my Garmin, I found the course was actually 4.5 miles long.

Congratulations on your PR. In a big crowd it is sometimes tough to run your own race. You sound like you really enjoyed yourself.

Saturday results, Sunday plan

Saturday, May 15, 2010

This is totally working for me right now, so I am going to continue doing this daily!

1 mile run done for Day 7 of my streak, Rollerbladed for over 45 mins

Day 6 sugar free complete.

NO VEGGIES! What is that??????

Tracked food all day, and under the top end of my SP range!

no laundry.

little bit of dishes

Junk box done!

Great day today, hubby let me sleep in until 11 am! Our eldest kidlet had a couple of friends over for a very fun play date. I enjoyed my run thoroughly today, and rollerblading was even better! I started to get a small blister so I stopped. Also, I discovered a new way to enjoy popcorn. Typically, I would pop a bag of microwave kind, and top it with 2 tbsp of margarine, it is a 500 calorie "snack"! Today, I air popped some kernels, 7.5 cups is 150 calories. I topped it with 1 tbsp of margarine ( 105 calories), and 1 tbsp of ground flax seed meal (30 calories)combined. 500 calorie snack magically becomes just as tasty, much healthier 285 calorie snack. Tasty.

Plan for Sunday: 5K Run for Ovarian Cancer with my running buddy (Day 8 running streak), maybe some other cardio we'll see.

Day 7 Sugar junk free

5 VEGGIES, must happen, I will have to plan ahead what I will eat to achieve this goal, today was a sad sorry day with no veggies.

Track food all day

laundry

dishes

Junk box #2
