Wednesday results, Thursday goals

Thursday, September 02, 2010

Tracked all food, 46 minutes cardio, no home blessing, like 10 veggies, did not read to the kidlets. Just over 1800 calories, but being more active I really felt I needed those extra calories. No gratitude journal, 8 hours sleep, but not in bed by 9:45, no strength training, and I am doing my goals for today right now, so it didn't officially happen yesterday, but it's getting done!

The kids and I spent a ton of time around the pool with friends, and after dinner we went to Grandpa's house to watch a movie on an outdoor screen with popcorn and timbits, tons of fun, but out very late.

My goals for today:

Track all food.
30 minutes cardio.
15 minutes of home blessing.
6 or more freggies.
Read to the kidlets.
Eat as close to 1800 calories as possible.
List 5 things in my gratitude journal.
Get 8 hours sleep, be in bed by 9:30.
Blog and set goals for tomorrow.

I love the gratitude journal idea.

I swear, I believe you and I may be cut from the same mold! I felt so guilty last night since I didn't read to my wee one. She loves her bedtime stories and I as just so scattered trying to be sure I signed all the papers they send kids on their first day of school and stuff. Tonight, I will read her an extra special one!

Sleep is definitely an area I need to focus on as well. I am sooo deprived the past week or so...hope you catch some much needed z's!!

What an awesome mama you are!

Sounds like you are enjoying the end of summer, before the kids go back to school! That time with family and friends can be more important than our self-imposed goals sometimes! Good for you for relaxing and taking time to just be with them! That is something I struggle with, always seeing something I should be doing instead.

September Goals

Wednesday, September 01, 2010

I have seen many people using their blogs as a monthly "check in" of sorts with their goals, so I have decided to do the same.

My goals for September are as follows: GOAL 1 Reach a goal weight of 151.6 by October 1.
To achieve this main goal I will follow these "sub" goals:
Cardio 210 minutes/week.
Strength train 3x week.
Eat 1700-2000 calories daily.
List five things I am grateful for in my Gratitude journal every night before bed.
Get 8 hours sleep nightly.
Blog daily about my goals.

GOAL 2: Complete the 10K course of my local Terry Fox Run on September 19
To achieve this main goal I will follow these "sub" goals:
Run 3 times a week, with Sunday being my long run of 5 - 7 miles
Make one of my runs speedwork to try and make a PR. Current 10K PR is 1:06:49.

My goals for today:

Track all food.
30 minutes cardio.
15 minutes of home blessing.
6 or more freggies.
Read to the kidlets.
Eat as close to 1700 calories as possible.
List 5 things in my gratitude journal.
Get 8 hours sleep, be in bed by 9:45.
Strength train.
Blog and set goals for tomorrow.

Thursday results, Friday plan

Thursday, August 26, 2010

30 minutes on the indoor bike, done.
No idea for calories today, didn't track, wacky day, and ended with chinese for dinner.
Sleep is getting sorted out slowly, hoping I sleep better than last night.
No sugar junk, no chips
Dishes got worked on ,but not much progress.
Laundry got 1 load done.
Dining room and kitchen got nothin done.

My youngest had a play date today, and the parent stayed for a very nice visit, but it threw off my plans because I expected a cup of tea and then off to run and errands giving me a couple of hours to do some work around the house. The play date went over the time we had originally planned because we were all having so much fun! Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

Friday plan

30 minutes cardio.

Track food!
Continue sorting out my sleep
Drink 10 H2O
no sugar junk or chips
dishes done
laundry 2 loads
dining room
kitchen and wash floor

Funny how the dishes and laundry never seem to be done, isn't it?! Sounds like you got quite a bit accomplished, and took some time to relax with *gasp* real adult conversation! The rest will be there when you get to it!

Why is it that we always feel like we did something wrong and have to make excuses for taking time to ourselves? My dh and kids don't seem to feel that way, but I always do. emoticon

Wednesday results, Thursday plan

Wednesday, August 25, 2010

30 minutes cardio actually became 70. I ran for 15 seconds at 10 miles an hour on the treadmill today! Yippee! That is a goal I set for myself way back when we got the treadmills, so it was totally awesome to accomplish that.

My calories were under 2000, my protein was much higher, but my fat intake was still too high. Salmon put me over, plus 3 eggs, so it's not all totally bad fats, but still too high. Will try to do better tomorrow.

My sleep is getting sorted out, my rise and shine time was 8 am today! Tomorrow 7:45, with an 11:30 bed time tonight.

Drank 10 cups H2O

Ate no sugar junk, and no chips.

Wonderful day today, felt really good about my eating, but I honestly didn't feel like I accomplished much around the house.

Thursday plan

30 minutes cardio
Eat 2000 calories max, continue working on more protein, less fat.
Continue sorting out my sleep.
Drink 10 cups H2O
Eat no sugar junk day 109
Eat no chips day 4
Work on dishes, get em caught up.
Work on Laundry, gotta have clean clothes!
Tidy Dining room
Tidy kitchen floor and wash it.
