So, my day was minimally successful yesterday in terms of my November goals. I did walk for 40 minutes, 2 miles. I did not drink my water, I did not track everything I ate, because I picked all day long. This is a major problem for me, especially with the Halloween candy on the counter. I did check in here on SP, which I guess means I was 2 for 4 on my goals, better than I thought.

Goals for today

1. Walk 1.5 miles
2. Drink 10 cups water
3. Track every morsel
4. Check in on my blog.

Goals for Sunday

1. Eat no cake or ice cream.
2. Drink 10 cups water
3. Track every morsel
4. Check in on my blog.


Bigger goal for the coming week Sunday November 4 to Saturdsy November 10

1. Put away Halloween decorations.
2. Create business cards.
3. Complete wedding photos and deliver to client with business cards.
4. Purge and tidy living room.
5. Pull out Christmas decorations.

November goals

I intend to lose 5 pounds in November. To make this happen, I will schedule walks, and make them happen 3-5 days a week. I will drink 8-10 cups of water daily, and make sure of this by tracking in my journal. I will track my food on SP and make sure I check in on SP 3 times a week minimum. I am thinking that towards the end of the month I will start planning ahead for my food. Making a detailed list of everything I plan to eat for the week will really keep me focused, and I am definitely worth the time and effort!

I walked my 5K distance today for the Virtual Race I signed up for. It took me 62 minutes, a little disappointing, but not unexpected when I bailed on the training two weeks ago. I have signed up to do the training again and do another virtual 5K walking race in December. I made a deal with my best friend that we will track our food this week, and drink our water. I'm going to start that tomorrow, today being Halloween is just too full of temptations. She has set a goal for January, and I will do that too. So, by January 2 I will lose 9 pounds. 9 pounds in 9 weeks is reasonable. My plan to make that goal a reality: Walk minimum 3 days a week, and book appointments for those days. Drink 8-10 cups of water daily. Track my food. Check in on Sparkpeople at least 3 times a week.

So, I have fallen off the wagon, AGAIN! But, I am going to start walking again. The weather has left a lot to be desired recently, and I am not going to wait for that to change. I will start walking at the indoor track if I have to, but I will make walking a regular habit.

Walking is a fabulous exercise and there is always a mall or an indoor facility to keep you moving!

    I love walking! When the weather gets bad I go inside. I would rather walk outside but sometimes we just don't have a choice. Good luck with your walking and keep it up. Sure makes a body feel good emoticon emoticon

Rest day switched

So, today turned into a rest day, and I will do my 1.75 mile walk tomorrow, sometime. I have some activities to attend with my kids, they really don't want to attend, but I think it will have so many benefits for them. My oldest especially loves math, and I want to keep that fire burning, so I found a Math Challenge program at the local University for a broad range of ages and the first session for the appropriate age group is tomorrow. Fingers crossed that the enthusiasm perks up enough to warrant a return to the ensuing sessions. Then, chess club at the library in the afternoon if kidlet number 2 doesn't decide to attend the next Math Challenge session for that age group. Lunch at McDonald's has been requested. I will order a salad this time instead of a burger and fries like I have typically been doing lately. In all honesty though, we have not been eating fast food lately, so that is good news. Maybe I can talk them into a healthier lunch..... I'll let ya know!

    Amber has taken more of an interest in Math this year. She LOVES her teacher and that helps a LOT!

    We have not been eating out and it makes me feel so bad when we do. Not like oh I can't believe I did that it is more like running people over to get to the bathroom first. Good Luck with your journey. Keep up the good work
