Its going to be a challenge this weekend.

Okay...Its another Dance Competition. I'm up at 6:30 we need to be there for 8 am so we can see the little ones that Kailee has choregraphed for and cheer them on. All in all I will be practically living at the theater Festival building this weekend. Hours and hours of watching dance...which is great I love dance. However, makes it rough for staying on a diet and staying hydrated as you can't leave your seat to go to the washroom once competition begins in a particular segment, and I'll be eating in restaurants. Also won't have much chance to exercise this weekend either. Sooooooooooooooooo I'll just have to do the best I can.
I've got my fingers and toes crossed that Kailee will do well. She's had some bad luck this week, injured her foot, and has got a pretty bad cold. She's danced with worse before though.
Hope you all have a great weekend. I don't expect i'll be on much this weekend.

update 3 silver medals. Good but a bit dissappointing...we were hoping for the gold for her solo. 3 more performances for tomorrow theres still time. I know we'd get the gold if we could just hide all the other awesome dancers there. lol.

The last few days I have tried to explain to people why I'm suddenly so infatuated with running. How I can hate it, but intensly love it all at the same time. Then today I open up my home page and the first thing I see is a spark people motivational quote and pic. This pretty much says it...Thanks Sparkpeople.

WOW! You're right - that sums it up. Your feelings on running are similar to mine and you express it very well.

Keep up the great progress in C25K. Enjoyed reading your comment on my blog.

Hi, thank you for the warm welcome to the team! I agree, this IS it....sums it up completely. I want to run to improve myself and become a better me. I'm really excited about learning to run a distance and as an added benefit, get my weight under control as well. Great to meet you and I look forward to being a part of the team.

You Won't believe what she said!!!!

Yesterday I was at work when one of our regulars came in and looked at me and said.."Your Losing weight".

Yes! She was the first person who really noticed. I nearly jumped over the counter to hug her, I thanked her profusely...she'll think twice before ever saying that again! lol

It felt really great and its true...sparkpeople is working big time. I'm so happy. Today isn't weigh in day...but I woke up this morning and I felt smaller. My middle just felt smaller and I felt lighter...sounds funny I know but true. So I got out of bed and got weighed and whooooooo hoooooo
I was down yet another 2 pounds.

I'm really starting to feel the difference and people are seeing the difference. I'm doin my happy dance again.

I'm so grateful for this place, for the wonderful people I have met here, and just thankful that the Lord led me here in the first place.

He always knows just what i need and when.

Hurrah...we are doin this...

Oh and one more thing......I've lost 5 inches of heart attack fat from my middle. Now that is good news.

Now I'm sore as sore can my challenge to day is to see if I can complete the second routine of week4 couch-5k program. Now that is a scary thought. Wish me well as I'm wishing you all well too.

Just to update my blog today.....I'll comment on my own blog. lol

I made it through the run routine. It wasn't pretty, and I didn't even have the breath to do my grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
rr mantra which helps, but I just imagined me as a sumu wrestler growling in my head. I made it thru...but boy was I glad when it was sweet zone in their today.

I'm feeling really proud of me. I love running. Or its more like I hate running, but I love what it does for me phsyically and emotionally, it makes you feel powerful, unstoppable, like everything is doable, and it drowns out all the voices clammouring for your attention and its just you and and your body and learning how to sync your mind with your body. Your one of course, but this cause you to focus on that. Gosh I don't know how to explain it...but its awesome. When I'm done I feel like I am shera the warrior princess or something hahaha. I took Shania Twain with me on my run this morning...she has so many songs that make me feel empowered as a woman.

So if you haven't tried running...I really recommend it. If you feeling at all blue or stressed...definitly try running. Best medication there is.

I want to be a Jellicle Cat. LOL

We went to see the broadway show Cats this weekend. It blew me away the singing, the dancing, the athletisim. was just so amazing. If I was a little kid seeing this show I know I would have determined right then and there to become a "Jellicle Cat".

Well I may never star on Broad way....(wink..ya think) but I'm going to keep that jellicle cat image in my mind. Like a cat lithe, limber, flexible, fit, and healthy. I can even sing too....although probably not dance and sing at the same time like a real jellicle cat, but what the hey...I'm gonna give it a try.

I may even decide to try out for a part in the community theater. Hey...I quit smoking, I'm losing weight, getting healthy, made the goal of running an impossible dream 5 k race, suddenly things seem exciting again...its all an adventure...anything is possible. Who day I may tramp the boards of the community theater stage...whoa...and who knows...

I might just be....a Jellicle Cat! LOL

Life is for the living....I've been sleeping thru it for to long.

I've been telling myself I can't for too long.

Problem is I'm starting to see that with tiny baby steps...huge things happen.

I can make a baby step, and therefore...all things are possible...thats exciting....thats LIFE!!!!

Whooooooooo HOOOOOOO so tell me...

What do you want to be when you grow up?????

You have said exactly what has been on my heart for the last couple of weeks. Yes, I too have been sleeping through life and life is far to short for that. Know that we are on the adventure together!
