wow!!! Misses!! That is wonderful! I bought some womens 10's (womens) didn't even realize they made womens in that size! But they fit good enough to wear but room to lose still another 10-15 lbs to make them even more comfy! Can't wait to be able to tell a difference! Great job on the 12's!!! celebrate that BIG TIME!!!!!!!

Baked Oatmeal - cool weather comfort food

Sunday, September 22, 2013

Baked Oatmeal

2 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup steel cut oats
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (I bump this up to 2 teaspoons)
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2 cups milk ( I use 1 percent)
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup applesauce ( I use 2 of the little snack cups of unsweetened)
1/4 cup oil or 1/4 cup melted butter ( I use margerine)
1/4 cup sugar plus 1/4 cup brown sugar (I use all brown sugar)
(Rasins dried cranberries , unsweetened coconut) any combo you like I add a full cup of this combination
Directions:
1 Preheat oven to 400F.
2 Lightly grease a 2-quart casserole dish. I spray it with Pam
3 In a large mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients -rolled oats, steel-cut oats, baking powder, nutmeg and cinnamon.
4 In a separate bowl, mix together milk, eggs, applesauce, oil or butter, sugars, and vanilla
5 Stir the liquid ingredients into the dry and pour into prepared casserole dish.
6 Bake, uncovered for about 20 minutes.
7 take out of oven and add in your fruits.
8 return to oven and bake, uncovered for about 20 more minutes or until top is lightly brown.

I portion this out into plasticware and load enough for the week in the fridge.
For the guys I portion cup, for me I have 1/3 cup which it a good amount for me and a little fruit
We warm it up in the mornings, add a little milk or yogurt maybe some cut up fresh fruit.
such as blueberries, chopped apples , banana, pears or raspberries

I have made this....I make mine in a crock pot and use cranraisins instead of raisins....I find you have to package it up before it cools down.

Judging by your spark wallpaper...are you in BLC23??? I am and I just redid my page a few days ago to get motivated..

new fitbit flex

Monday, September 16, 2013

I didn't think I would like it but I do.
I like the tracking on line and seeing a report on progress.

I think this will be my gift of choice for christmas this year.

I am tracking my overall steps per day and plan on still doing a 5km on the treadmill outside of the tracking of steps each day

Time to update my Spark Page. Do you need to refresh yours too?

Saturday, August 31, 2013

I think sometimes we get into a grove, maybe even a rut where we become complacent and just drift along.
I can not afford to do that.
I need to refresh and revive my spark. What better time then now.
Labour day weekend, a new season coming, time to round out the year

Your post reminded me of an old saying 'there is only one difference between a rut and a grave, the rut is longer". So you are totally right, change some things up while its just a groove, not a rut.

Refresh your spark and you'll do great things!

JACKSGRAN 8/31/2013 12:39PM

Sounds good. If the groove gets too deep it's difficult to dig yourself out.
