Day one of restarting my streak!
Did 1 hour Gentle yoga and 20 pull ups.
I also walk but for my streak I am just going to count the days as I exercise.
Getting back on with Yoga.

I think yoga is really good to help people quite their minds if they are stressed, and the stretching is very good for the body.

Here we go again

Friday, March 14, 2014

I did my 60 minutes a day yoga for 45 days in a row.
Last Saturday and Sunday I missed and then I missed again or I would be up to 53 or so days. ARGGGGGG!! It makes me so mad.
Thank goodness I watched what I ate and moved in other ways or I'd be probably be 5 pounds heavier.
I'm still down this morning at 106.6 I think it was.
I am going to keep going. I missed it and am proud at how strong and flexable I am getting. (I will just be a week behind) emoticon
I went for a walk with our dog which was uphill fast and trying to make her go home (downhill) slow. She is a stinker, she hates to go home unless she wants to.
Any way, 2 steps forward and one back is not the worst thing that could happen. Right?
emoticon to all.

I know how it feels when you mess up a streak. I did that when I went away during Christmas. I had to shake it off after shaking my head lol. But you're doing what you need to as you stay on track. I also had slowed down on strength training but I'm back on that! It feels GREAT! Our body SMILES when we make it HAPPY! You can do it!!!

After 34 days of 60 minutes of the Ultimate Yogi program, I am getting pretty darn flexible.
I can hardly wait to see how I am at the 108th day.

Why stop at 108 days? Unless this is this specific program time period.

Day 21

Sunday, February 02, 2014

Just a short blog to say I am still on track with day 21 of hour long Yoga.
My eating is still good EXCEPT or Friday at work.

I had 2 donuts and one soft pretzel (someone brought in) and I paid the price with chest hurting indigestion all night long and into the next day.
That proves that is so bad for us.

I was doing healthy salads and meals, almost no sweet treats of any kind all week.
So I have got to get a back bone and say NO THANK YOU when temptation waves it under my nose.

Here's to a new week and healthy eating and exercise.

    Hey there Donna! emoticon

Don't beat yourself up on a little donut and pretzel indiscretion. You are doing so very well! emoticon

I try and remember that it doesn't matter what you eat, as long as it is in moderation ... now THAT's a hard one for me, says I now, sitting here with a mammoth full belly after eating my steak, onions, potatoes, and mint peas. Whew! All very yummo, but definitely didn't fit in the moderation stakes today! emoticon

Happy week, girlfriend!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I realize not having will power. I think we all do, other wise we wouldn't be on this site. but chest hurting, I looked at those things, & I am not sure but check out if you have Celiac disease, that's you're allergic to wheat. see if this happens with certain cereals, bread, & sauces too. Don't buy gluten free cause it has too much salt, fat 7 sugar. you just need to switch away from wheat. I could be wrong. if you had pop with this , that could account for the chest hurting. Cause caffeine & flour & sugar gives you heart burn, or reflex. Hey, I guess that would keep you away from that. But I have those things happen to me when I eat splenda, it's like someone poisoned me & I start eating like I have a tap worm to feel. eva emoticon

Someone brought two, read it TWO boxes of donuts to work today. I could eat all six donuts that are left but guess what. . . . . . I don't think I will. You will get there too and one part of a day doesn't ruin everything!

That is something I struggle with...resisting temptation, especially if it is sweet!

Report Inappropriate Comment
KING_SLAYER 2/2/2014 4:23PM

Sometimes it's so hard to say "no". But the upside is that when we say "yes" sometimes we pay the price for the indulgence. I.E. indigestion in you case. That makes for a nice reminder and helps us to avoid those temptations at least for a while, as long as the painful memory is still fresh.

For me, learning that it is okay to say "No Thank You" to the sharer of the treat has been a great deal harder than saying no thank you to the treat. I have been practicing my making 'healthier for me' choices and it is getting easier every time I make a healthier choice.
It will get easier for you too..
On your own you are doing GREAT !!
