DID I ?

Wednesday, October 15, 2014

Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone's
face? Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger
and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love? These are the
real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love
that I sow now will be many fruits, here in this world
and the life to come. - Henri Nouwen

I think this a very appropriate quote to post for today.
1. Did I offer peace today? Yes
2. Did I bring a smile to a face? Yes, many today!
3. Did I offer word of healing? Yes, delivered with hugs.
4. Did I let go of anger? Some but need to keep working on it.
5. Did I forgive? I do this every day even though I may not know I need to forgive.
6. Did I love? Absolutely and without question, but then we do have to know we are to love everyone and I will work on this daily as well.

How about you? These are emotions that need to be done every day and I hope to remember to do it daily. God bless you all!!

These are things we need to work on every day. I find forgiveness is the hardest for me but the older I get, the easier it gets to forgive and overlook.

Such a wonderful quote and surly we should all strive to do all of them in our lives. We may not get to do every one of them done every day, but working to do them should be heart felt and also rewarding for us.

Good advice! Being that we are human, I think the hardest thing to do is to forgive some people, those who have done us a great injustice for no conceivable reason.....

Yes, and am always working at it. Some days are better than others with dealing with anger, the forgiving and making peace...because some days are just difficult when dealing with some people. Love isn't even easy sometimes, but it sure gets us through the tough times, doesn't it?! May all your days be filled with peace, love and joy! Thank you Eileen..you are a good friend! emoticon

Glory Days

Wednesday, September 17, 2014

I have never been a millionaire, but I have enjoyed a great meal,
a crackling fire, a glorious sunset, a walk with a friend, a hug
from a child, a cup of soup, a kiss behind the ear. There are
plenty of life's tiny delights for all of us. - Jack Anthony

So true to my feelings. Every day is a Glory Day even though we may have stress in our lives. We must look to what is comforting, helping to make us smile and care about others. The blessing we have are many. Do one act of kindness for someone you don't know tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing this quote with me.

Progress

Wednesday, September 17, 2014

"Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb." ~ Sir Winston Churchill

One certainly could take this quote for many of our daily challenges but I think for the majority of us would look at it as our weight loss journey. These can be very powerful words as we work hard to meet our short term and long term goals. We start out fast and tend to slow and when progress isn't seen, we tend to slow til standing still. My thought is to keep on "plugging" away and that long term goal will find you & you will find it!

Thank you for taking time to stop by and reading. I hope you can get much insight from the quote that can apply to your life.

Laughter

Monday, August 04, 2014

"I think laughter may be a form of courage.
As humans, we sometimes stand tall and look into the sun and laugh, and I think we are never more brave than when we do that."

Never regret.
If it's good, it's wonderful.
If it's bad,
it's experience.
