Monday a new week

Monday, April 07, 2014

I lost 3 pounds this week. although I did gain a pound over the weekend and I didn't eat that great this weekend.

I have looked over the weekend and made plans for correction next weekend.

This week is going to be a busy week so I will have to use my time wisely.

the end of the week review

Saturday, April 05, 2014

For the most part I did really well.

1.Did I overeat this week on any day? yesterday I did

2. Did I move more and exercise regularly? Yes

3. Do I feel lighter than I did at this time last week?Yes

4. Did I eat in secret or out of anger or frustration or boredom? no

5.Did I feel that at any time I ran to food instead of to God? well I didn't run to food but I didn't call on God's strength to control my eating.

6. Did I think I'd had a successful God pleasing week? Over all I thing is was a good week.

I am not going to let Last nights dinner ruin my whole week or next week.

One think I think I need to do is get back to measuring my food. I have been eyeballing it and I feel I am eating more than I should.

so this week I will work on that

Spring is here

Thursday, April 03, 2014

It has been a very long winter here in central NY. Yesterday was a really nice day so i thought I would start up my jogging again. I haven't jogged since last fall. (I'm a fair weather jogger) I jogged about 1.3 miles in 15 min and then walked home. I say that isn't to bad for the 1st time this year. This morning I am not really sore like I thought I would be. I am so excited.

I also got my pedometer fixed so i will be trying to get 8000 steps in a day. My eating is going well and I was able to not eat after 8 last night which was very hard because everyone was having a snack after church.

feeling good today

a new out look

Wednesday, April 02, 2014

I have been reading Made to crave by Lysa Terkeurst and it has been really good for me. I see how my focus has been on food and getting healthy and skinny. I need to be more focused on obeying God. My motivation needs to be obedience to God and not letting food rule my life.
In one chapter it says we should define our week by obedience and not by the scales. Here are some questions they said to ask yourself every week:
1.Did I overeat this week on any day?
2. Did I move more and exercise regularly?
3. Do I feel lighter than I did at this time last week?
4. Did I eat in secret or out of anger or frustration or boredom?
5.Did I feel that at any time I ran to food instead of to God?
6. Did I think I'd had a successful God pleasing week?

I have put them on an index card and am going to ask myself those questions daily for a while.

I've heard alot of great things about that book ! I follow the Proverbs 31 book club on twitter...it's interesting. Good job on reading a book that is so helpful & inspiring for you. Excellent questions ! That's a grand idea to keep those questions posted on an index card to keep them handy. It's a great reminder.

small success

Friday, March 28, 2014

I did really well yesterday. I went out to lunch with a friend and I ordered fairly healthy. There are some improvements I could make and I will next time. but it is a start. then last night I was still hungry but instead of eating junk I had some hummus and grain crackers. I was able to stay in my ranges. Went to bed feeling good.

Today is a new day and it is a rainy one. My sinuses are really going crazy but I plan to get my butt moving and have another good day.
