Things have been crazy in my world the last few days. I have not done very well with my eating or cardio. I have gotten some exercise in and have been very active.

I had all my kids home for the weekend and we did tons of family time. It was jammed packed knowing I wouldn't see them for a while. so on Saturday we went to the zoo.

That night we had a campfire with neighbors.

Then on Sunday we my son had to capture a skunk ... The police were to scared to do it. He live trapped it and released it in the wild.

On Monday my 3 daughters and I went wedding dress shopping for my oldest daughters wedding in Sept. as well as getting stuff for the other 2 girls for their internships in NC. We had to rush home and get ready for Bethany's bridal shower.

We got home late and packed up the girls so they could head out at 6 am on Tues. morning. I mowed lawn and cleaned the house. Boy did it seem quiet will all the kids gone.

Wed. came and Bethany and I worked in my flowers all day. Sore muscles today.

Today's goals:
1. Get in a cardio work out and a strength work out
2. Quiet time
3. Try to eat healthy

I didn't eat well for breackfast but I can do better the rest of the day.
So I will say have a good day I need to go exercise

Well we mad the fast trip to NC. I started out well but with the long days and all the car riding I would have to say I didn't do the greatest. I did munch on carrots a lot but I also ate more than I should have of other stuff. I wanted to do a salad at least once a day but didn't do it.

Then this weekend with all the kids home eating has not been very good.
My exercising has been zero which is a bummer.

I guess I need to change my life style more. It is still to easy to slip into my old habits. I don't know how to change for good.

I gained 1.5 pounds this week. some days this journey seems to hard. I gain and lose the same 5 pound. I know I don't want to quit because I like the feel of being this smaller size and I know if I do quit I will gain so much. But I also know I want to lose even more weight but jsut can't seem to make that happen.

Oh well I will keep plugging away. I guess even if I don't get any lower than 201 or higher than 215 I am better off than a higher weight.

Tomorrow will be another busy day with wedding dress for my daughter and her bridal shower and getting my other to daughters ready to head to NC for the summer.

Just keep doing the best you can. It's hard when you have a lot of other things taking your time & energy . So just keep your goals in mind & try to stay focused as best you can. You won't make perfect decisions every time, but that's ok . As long as you stay aware & keep at it ... that's half the battle . Keeping your mindset to making healthier choices with exercise & eating can be challenging, but if everyday you start anew & work on it .You should feel great about that ! Every little victory should be celebrated , and don't dwell on the no so good things ! You can do it ! I know you can! You are still better than where you started .... That is awesome !

You know you can't give up because you deserve to be healthy. When I have weeks like yours (and they happen more than I care to mention) I try very hard to use portion control on anything I eat. When traveling I always find munching a big problem so I pre bag single portions of things and whenever we make a stop I do at least 5-10 minutes of walking or stretches.....helps me to clear my "eating" mind. Take this journey ONE day at a time and let go of yesterdays and look only at the todays. Have a great Sunday. YOU can to this. We are here for you. emoticon

Look at what you did last week & learn from it. What can you do differently this week? I know it's hard to stick with it when you aren't seeing instant results but it will be soooooooooo worth it when you get to your goal!!

A friend of mine sent me this phrase a while back & it really helps me when I get those cravings & want to just blow it all & have a big binge:

"NOTHING tastes as good as being healthy feels!"

As badly as I might want that bag of chips or that big gooey donut, I want to be healthy more! So I try to remember my goal and that helps me resist the temptation most of the time!

Hang in there! You are right to look at the positives of losing even a portion of your weight. It is a very difficult journey to change our life and habits!

Monday's results day 13

Tuesday, May 14, 2013

1. track everything I did it but went over just a little in calories and fat
2.10 min. of exercise. 37 mins plus 10 mins of strength
3.15 min.of quiet time I did 20 min.
4. measure my food some of my food I measured

I will not be on sparkpeople for a few days. We are leaving early tomorrow morning to pick up my daughter from college in NC. I will try to write down things I eat and try to find some time for a little exercise. This will be a big test for me since I wont have spark to support me and a husband who likes to eat.

I have a plan of packing fruit and veggies to snack on in the car instead of chips and junk. I will try to eat a salad at least 1 time we stop to eat. Then in the morning before we leave each day I plan to pwoer walk in place for at least 10 mins. Hope I can stick to this plan. I will let you know.

Hope everyone has a good day.

weekend's results days 11 and 12

Monday, May 13, 2013

1. track everything Sat. I did ok till evening Sun I didn't even track

2.10 min. of exercise. Sat. 20 mins Sun. Nothing
3.15 min.of quiet time I did 10 min on Sat Nothing on Sun.
4. measure my food No for either day

I am a little sad that I didn't make myself exercise yesterday. I so wanted to have a streak going. I guess I will start again today. I really blew it Yesterday. I was so tired I even took a nap. Guess it was mothers day. haha

Church was good. It got me thinking about being a mother. The pastor said...
there are 2 things a compassionate mother must do.
1. Be ready to fight for your child. for their health, well being, and their spiritual lives. Even if that means you have to fight with them.

2. Be ready to let go. We as parents need to raise them to be able to stand on their own and let go when they are ready.

I am in the letting go stages. taking 2 kids to colleges states away and getting ready for my daughter's wedding. Wow I need God as much now as I did when they were little. We and never stop depending on God to get us through all stages of life.

So I need to depend on God not only for my kids but for me and my healthy life style journey. Without Him I am nothing and can do nothing. For He alone is my rock and my strength.

With that in mind today I am going to take 1 step closer to preparing my body for Him. To be pure and holy.

Have a great day everyone.

Sounds like you had a nice day yesterday !You got a great message at church, you even got a nap ! YAY ! Try not to feel bad about not exercising or tracking the way you were planning on. It happens. You just keep working at it. You will get there ! We will never be perfect ,we just need to be persistent with this healthy life journey ! We will get there. It doesn't happen overnight & we just have to keep plugging along ! Today will be a better day !

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in your midst ? ~ 1 Corinthians 3:16

I bet a lot of us didn't do much tracking or exercise on Mother's Day...myself included in that statement. Don't feel bad. We need to take a break every once in a while. Today is a new day and a perfect time to get back on that journey!

Sounds like you have good goals set up and are working on them. emoticon

We fail so we can learn and succeed. YOU can do this....one day at a time. Start your day with a 10 minutes of fitness.....I like walking (even if it is place in front of the TV while I catch up on the news). I than drink at least one glass of water. Than I take sometime for devotions....after which I plan my meals for the day. As you can see I am a morning person. Again YOU can do this. Have a good day and let's stay healthy together. emoticon
