I am understanding some of the reasons why I haven't felt like doing anything. I have been trying to fight a cold and have lost. I have no energy and feel like crap. I guess it is chicken noodle soup and rest.

running out of steam

It is that time of month where I want to eat and sit on the couch and do nothing. To make myself exercise it too over whelming. So that is what I did for 2 days. I had great plans for yesterday but it didn't work. So I will try again today. I know what I have to do but doing it is hard.

    Why don't you find something easy? How about one of sparks 10 minute videos? Try some kick boxing and pretending your punching the day lights out of something that is really irritating you. Works all the time for me...

    Hi - just remind yourself that you are not giving up and forget yesterday. I have done same thing but get a new burst of determination and each time I start out good. Well, we are the ones responsible for ourselves and only we can break the cycle for ourselves.. Good luck to you emoticon

    Lack of motivation may be because any number of excuses, even achance of poor motivational standards and goals. Doubt is always a threat. Lack of faith in what You are doing! 8000 steps

My goal these days is to get 8000 steps a day. I do well during the week while I am working. My job requires lots of steps. Then the weekend comes. Saturdays I stay very busy like working in my flower gardens preparing them for winter but it doesn't require many steps just lots of bending. I try to through in a walk but it seems I can never get to 8000 steps. Then Sunday is just about impossible. with Church morning and night. I am lucky to get 3000 steps in. So my streaks never get very far. I try not to let that bother me but I am one of those people who like to check things off.

    I have a friend that does step videos on the floor to get her steps in. She raves that she loves it and she's doing a 15000, yeah 15,000, step challenge with someone and she's been doing her regular workout and then in the evening a workout just to get her steps in. She said her feet hurt. Guess So!

Good luck. You could always walk in place during commercials....

    Do you watch tv? I know people who pace while watching and that helps them with their steps.

moderation is a good word. It is sometimes hard for me to use. I'm like that all or nothing kind of person. I am getting better though. Sometimes when you eat a certain food you feel you just have to eat more and more. I don't make that food very often. It seems that the foods I love are high in fat. Oh a lot of them are good for me like nuts but you can't eat tons of them so I try to put a serving in a bowl and that is what I can eat. sometimes it works and sometimes I know right where the nuts are kept. All I know is this is a process and it is ok if I mess up some days

    Oh my gosh, I just posted something about this today! I feel exactly the same way...it's so hard for me to realize that there shouldn't be that all or nothing mentality. Keep up the great work! It's something I'm gonna work on...

banking calories

Today I watched the video on how not to over eat at special events or parties. They talked about banking calories so at eh end of the week you are still in your ranges. I think I have talked about this before. I usually have no trouble with the calorie part in fact most of the time I am under. What the problem is the fat. I try to cut out the fat by using low fat foods but somehow the fat range is always high. so when the ask how was your eating I always say ok because I guess i feel like I should eat less fat.
