Day 42

I got up at 05:20 same as usual. Did my sparking(drinking water) and went for a 25 minute walk and stretched(drinking water) when I got done. Got ready and went to work. Had a bowl of cereal and an apple. Filled my Pitcher with water for the day.Did the deposit and payroll for one store then the other. I opened yesterdays mail and printed a few checks. Got the checks ready to mail. Went to the bank. Walked over to the post office and then took my lunch break. Made a few vendor calls. Joy came up to help get caught up. On my way back home. After dinner went for the usual walk with my neighbor and the triplettes.

DAY 41

I WANT TO START TRYING TO BLOG EVERYDAY SO I WILL START TODAY. I GOT UP AND GOT MY POINTS AND DID 15 MINUTES OF WALKING THEN MY STRENGTH TRAINING. I STRETCHED FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES TO LOOSEN THE KNOTS IN MY MUSCLES. I LEFT AND WENT TO WORK AND WILL TRY TO GET THINGS DONE. I AM CURRENTLY WORKING ON THE DEPOSITS FROM THE WEEKEND FOR THIS STORE. WHEN I'M DONE I'LL HAVE TO DO THE ONES FOR THE OTHER STORE BEFORE GOING TO THE BANK. THAT IS MY MORNING. I GOT SOME LUNCH AND NOW I HAVE TO GET MAIL OPENED AND CREDIT CARDS RECONCILED BEFORE GOING HOME. I WENT HOME AND HAD DINNER AND WATCHED SOMETHING RECORDED BEFORE MY NEIGHBOR SHOWED FOR OUR NIGHTLY WALK MINUS THE TRIPLETTES THEY WEREN'T EATING THEIR DINNER. AFTER ONE LAP WE GOT THE BOYS, MY BOYFRIEND AND SOME OTHER NEIGHBORS AND ALL DID ANOTHER LAP. ROBIN AND I DID A FASTER LAP BUT WITH JOE IN A WHEELCHAIR, MIYA IN A STROLLER THAT JJ WHO'S 2 1/2 HAD TO PUSH IT TOOK US FOR EVER TO DO THE SECOND LAP. THEN WE HUNG OUT OUTSIDE SINCE IT WAS SO NICE.

Benefit

Supposed to go to a benefit today. My neighbors 19 year old daughter was diagnosed with brain cancer 3 years ago and now after 2 surgeries and radiation and kemo is not doing well. I lost my father to brain cancer 5 years ago. It sucks. I feel bad because I don't want to go. I'll just think about my dad all day.. I miss him.

I have to force myself to work out

Lately I get up in the morning and don't want to work out. I was enjoying it at first now its like a chore. What can I do to make it more fun.

    Find something you LIKE to do! If you feel "forced"...there's no way you're gonna continue doing it. I love walking, so I do it most often...you can recruit someone along, if it'll help you remain accountable.

Do you bike? Swim? I think if you find something you like....you'll feel less it being a chore & more enJOYable!

    I know the feeling--in fact, I've been that way the past couple of days!

There are certain exercises I hate, but force myself to do because they are important. Running, however, is my favorite exercise and my best stress reliever. After a good run, I'm always glad for what I accomplished.

I think the secret is finding something active that you enjoy and makes you feel good about yourself instead of exercise "chores."

    It comes and goes for me. I just started doing Turbo Jam because it's goofy, fun, and still a good workout.

    When I started this, I decided that I was going to shoot for the 1000 day streak. I joined the two 10-minute-per-day teams and put both on my streak page to give me something to shoot at.

Later I decided that I was going to dedicate myself to writing a short blog every day to remind myself (and anybody who wanted to tune in) about the workout with its successes or failures.

The blog entry pretty much 'forces' me to workout. Sometimes I don't want to go, but when I get out there and start moving, it feels great because I know that it's doing me good.

Plus, I'm competitive enough that I've got to make A's or get the best test scores, etc. Using the point system is somewhat akin to that... it's a personal pride thing.

Keep going... it sucks, but look at the wonderful benefits down the road!!!
