Update on my sister

Monday, October 20, 2014

She saw the doctor for the first time after her surgery. He took out 40 staples and x-rayed her arm. She counted 8 screws but the doc said oh there are lots more than that. He also put 3 plates in her arm. Now we wait to see how much nerve damage she has. Thanks for all the prayers.

update on my sister

Wednesday, October 08, 2014

She had surgery yesterday and it was a tough one. It took 3 1/2 hrs and she now has 3 plates and lots of hardware. The doctor said they did their best but only time will tell. There were lots of bone fragments. It was like a puzzle the had to try to put back together. When she came out of recovery she was in a lot of pain, a million times worse than child birth. spoke with her today and she is still on lots of pain meds but seems to be doing better. Thanks so much for all the prayers. emoticon

I didn't know your sister was going in for surgery. I am glad to hear that she's through the surgery - now on to the recuperation.

Prayers please

Monday, October 06, 2014

I'm asking my Spark friends for prayers for my sister. She was on a cruise ship and fell breaking no shattering her upper left arm. She will find out today when she will have surgery. She is 77 and I'm really frightened for her. Her doctor said she will need at least 2 plates. Thanks in advanced for your prayers, I know they help. I'm living proof. emoticon

Father in the name of Jesus. I pray right now for our Spark Friends sister who has been injured from a fall and will need surgery because of a shattered upper left arm. Father you are the great physician and Jehovah Rophi the God that heals. We ask for your divine healing of her body and be with her and the physician, surgeon, and any medical staff that will be attending to her. I pray for the family that they would be encouraged and stand in faith for her speedy recovery. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Happy birthday to my wonderful mother-in-law and late husband

Sunday, August 31, 2014

Yes, it's my mother-in-laws 93rd birthday and my last husbands birthday also. We lost him almost 28 yrs. ago but I still miss him and have the best MIL a girl/lady could have. I spent the whole day with her the other day and did whatever she wanted to do. Went to the cemetery, took her out to lunch and just spent the day doing whatever she wanted to do. It was great. I am happily remarried and I know Alan would approve and be happy for me. I have 3 wonderful sons who are grown now and have given me wonderful grandchildren. I have truly had a wonderful life and am enjoying it everyday to the fullest. Now if I could only lose the weight I would be very happy. I know what to do it's just very difficult to do it........ Thanks to my Spark friends for all the encouragement and friendships . I LOVE SPARK PEOPLE...... Judy

So glad your MIL had a lovely day on her birthday, and that you were able to remember your late husband and also have gratitude for your life with Alan, children and grandchildren. Wishing you many more continued blessings.
Hugs, Nattacia

Hello Spark People

Saturday, June 28, 2014

Just here to give everyone an update, and it's not good. I am gaining weight again 5lbs. since last blog and I can only blame myself. I stopped weighing myself daily and it just didn't work, so I am going to start weighing myself daily and charting it once a week again. I have been out of control eating everything under the sun and don't know why. I am going to try to be more disciplined and see what I can do. I've only lost 27 lbs. but it's 27 pounds gone and I don't want it back. A little loss is better than none at all. So here I am trying again. I love Spark and all the friends I have met here and I'm not giving all this up. Thanks for all your help along my journey and for the help I will need going forward. emoticon

Good luck to you. It's always the reason behind the behavior that needs attention, so try to pinpoint that. Meantime, remember . . . . you're much more than a #!
