New Month

So August was okay. Not great but not horrible. But I finally feel like I'm back in the groove. I walked this week no days off at least two miles everyday. So for this month my plans is the same.

1. track calories

2. walk at least two miles everyday.

Thank you everyone for the support I appreciate it so much. Oh my sparversary was last month it has been two years I will reach my goals. I don't give up when I promise myself something I do it.

Update

Monday, August 04, 2014

So July was pretty good it was the best month so far. I didn't lose any weight but I walked more than I have all year so that is good. I hope to do even better this month. I don't know what happened but I feel very calm and I feel that motivation is back to do what I have to do to lose the weight.

So my goals for August are as follows

1. track my food everyday

2. walk at least two miles everyday.

Short and sweet. I also started my weight loss goal over at my new weight. So I feel I like I have a clean start. Hope everyone has a great month.

So June was a good month I walked more than I had been doing all year but the weight has just kept coming because I eat junk and I drink to much diet soda. When I first started spark last year I had cut my soda down to three cans a day I don't what happened but I'm back to the old ways.

Enough is enough it is a new month a new day. I will cut back my late night eating again this month and I will eat breakfast in the morning. I will cut my soda down to three cans as well this month and hopefully add more water.

I have put on thirty pounds of the fifty I have lost and I'm tried of trying to figure out what looks good on me. I refuse to go back to size 16 pants.

These are my goals for July

1 track my food every day

2 eat breakfast every day

3 walk at least two miles aday

4 and review how I am doing every week.

Just want to say thank you to all my sparkfriends for their support I know I can do this.

It is so good that you have stopped and re-evaluated your plan, goals, and yourself.

I have found the number 1 thing that has helped me lose weight is diligently tracking all my foods...and drinks. It makes all the difference.

Here is a plan to consider, many people have been successful with it:

150 minutes a week of fitness
1350-1600 calories a day. Do your very best to see that the first 1350 is filled wih protein and veggies and healthy choices BUT then leave 250 calories for your "Happy calories" This can be 1 soda, some candy, extra bread... whatever. If you ahve a special dinner with your mom or your sweetie, save up 3 days worth of fun calories, and you have an extra 750 calories for that meal. OR if it was an impromptu special dinner... then the net 3 days just omit your fun calories. This usually leads to about a 10 lb weight loss in a month. It's called the "drop 10 plan"

    Remember, YOU are worth it. Make the decision everyday to do something positive in regards to your health. You know what to do, you just have to mentally tell yourself that "I'm worth the effort." I wish you the best.

New month

So May went pretty well I walked more than I have all year I tracked my food some days so it is better than it has been. I'm planning on making it everyday from here on out.

I decied that my 100 day challenge was not working so I will start over. I haven't kept it up so I will keep it up this month. So my new 100 day challenge will be tracking everything I eat and working out everyday.

    I have had that happen too! Sometimes a challenge that seems like a great idea doesn't end up helping you that much. It's okay, and you're doing the right thing - just pick a new one and keep moving on!

    Tracking my calories and meauring all my food is the number one thing that has helped me lose weight. Activity is great, but I have housekeepers at work that are moving and working themselves into a sweat their whole 8 hour shift, but they are obese. Why is that, especially when some are in their 20s? Because they overeat on a daily basis, they don't eat huge portions, but they don't track what they eat, and some of their choices are high calorie, high fat, high carb/sugar and high salt.

I had a patient who got to her goal weight and she is in a wheelchair, so she has very limmited activity. she did it just by eating within her calorie range, about 1400-1500 calories a day. She lost about 60 lbs in 10 months, and she wasn't young, tall or even in the best of health. She also had a very very tight budget, she couldn't buy organic foods or "diet foods" she bought things like Chicken breasts, yogurt, eggs, lots of veggies and some fruit. Turket breast deli meat...

I know you can do it. Give yourself a 21 day challenge to eat within your calorie range, I promise a 21 day streak really is motivating, and the results are fantastic!
