re: March Madness

Monday, March 01, 2010

Okay, tomorrow is March 1 and i am about 3 lbs from goal weight! I'm going home to the east coast on vacation for three + weeks.
The real test will be to keep up some level of reasonable exercise and stay away from all my favorite east coast great food loves!!
I made it through a 16 day cruise & a week in Barcelona in November and came home w/only 5 lbs to loose. But home and family is different==== I'm on a mission to minimize my weight gain and still have a great time.
All good luck in this new month. emoticon

fruit serving

Tuesday, February 23, 2010

I have never blogged before, decided to do to get some information about fruit servings.
Here's my question when eating fruit yogurt I know its dairy but is it also a fruit serving?
Anyone free to send me your answers or opinions!
Thanks All

I agree with Scotmama and others. There's not enough fruit in it to be counted. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I know you posted this a long time ago, but this is my first time to your page.

I never count yogurt as a fruit serving as the amount is too small. I enter it on my food tracker as yogurt and enter all the nutrition as listed on the container. Most of the stuff I eat regularly I put in under "enter a food not listed." Of course when you do eat fruit by itself, or even with cottage cheese, you can find that fruit individually under the food search. Sometimes it even lists fresh or canned separately. Handy!

I am pretty certain that it only counts as dairy. It's because there is too little fruit in there for it to be a serving or anywhere near. A serving of fruit is like 1/2 cup and there's only like 1/2 cup or less in the whole yogurt... and only a small amount of that is the fruit. :)

Do you usually get many fruits and veggies during the day? What are you trying to aim for as far as fruit and veggie servings?
