There is an old saying, author unknown-" smile and the world smiles with you cry and you cry alone". I don't think that is true for today. We are a caring people and we reach out to strangers in need all the time. So I say today, "smile and the world smiles with you, cry and strangers will reach out with a helping hand and a warm heart".
Today, I purchased my blackeye peas for my New Year's Day meal. I did not know how nutritious they are. In a 1/2 cup of blackeye peas, there are 96 cal, 0 fat, 24g carbs, 9g protein and 18g of fiber. They have more protein and fiber than black beans as well as, less fat, and carbs. Next I have to get my cabbage-they did not look great at the market today.
It is cold in Louisiana today--but just wait we will have sunny days and warm weather in a few days. It is wonderful to live here because the weather reminds us that life--like the weather-- can change if we just hold on until the situation(weather) changes. Life is good.
“And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.” Luke 2:16-20 NKJV Merry Christmas
