Well for my good news... the visits with the urologist have been productive. I am now on medication for my issue with frequency and leaking. I am not having those problems any more. I do, however, have dry mouth that I am learning to deal with. (Wish I could use some of the OTC products for that, but they contain dairy which I cannot have.) The surgery that the doc thought I may need can be put off until the condition worsens.. eventually. I go back in 3 months.
The bad news.... Gran's Alzheimers is much worse. The doctor put her on a new med to help the Alz med work better, but I think she will need to be taken off it. I think it has given her the runs, and I am tired of having to clean poo up off her, the chair, the floor, the toilet, and whatever clothing she has gotten it all over. I also cannot leave her at home alone in the day anymore. She used to be okay with no issues, but not now.
So, I am going to start looking for an agency to provide sitters at least 4 hours Monday through Friday and on afternoon and evenings that my family has plans. I basically told my uncle that he needs to make sure there is money in her bank account (I pay the bills, but have no idea how much she has since he has all the papers coming to him... long story). I told him that I have to work, that we have gone through ALL of our savings including my hushand's 401K and life insurance just to keep from going bankrupt (that's another long story... two mortgages).... anyway. He didn't seem too concerned for us.
Please be praying for me, my sanity, and that this agency thing works out for us. I really don't want to put her in a home, but it seems the next reasonable step if the paid caregivers don't work out.

Wow.. It's been a while since I've been able to get on and rally with my groups. I guess it started with the girls being on Fall Break. They dominated the computer, then I got sick. I've had this crud since then, and now hubbie's had it about a week.
I'm doing a Santa's Shoppe on November 5th selling some of my knitting and gran's crocheting. I've been knitting scarves like mad. I've also been sub-teaching a lot, too.
School has only been in session for 45 days, I think; and I've worked 20 of those days. It was actually more "days" because some of those were just "half days." I've actually been paid for 20 full days.
I've been having some issues from my hysterectomy. Now, I'm seeing a urologist. He thinks we can avoid the "sling" surgery for right now. But, I may need to have a little netting put in to give my urethra a little support. I'm on meds right now to see if that helps.
I've got a request from each of you. A dear lady at church who was in her 90s and acted like she was in her 60s passed away this morning. She had a heart attack. Just Sunday, she was teasing me about getting old and my body falling apart (you know, due to the "date" with the urologist). She was a very special lady. Please pray for her daughter and son (Betty and Lee) and their families (and our church family) as we deal with this loss.

Well, I went to the urologist today to discuss my "frequency without urination" problem that led into a sometimes "leaking" issue. Well as I suspected, the hysterectomy has led to my bladder dropping "slightly." He says it is not too much of an issue, right now. He says having two kids didn't help that matter, either. So, I have to do "exercises" to help strengthen the muscles, take some medication to "relax the bladder," and I have to go back to see him in a month for more testing. He comes out of Jackson, an hour and a half away. I have to go to his office down there next time.

My DD was asked to sing the National Anthem at her middle school football game. I think she did pretty good for not having practiced in the press box and having the feed back caused by the sound system at the field. It was quite an honor, and we are proud of her.

Wow!! It's all I can say. The show that these kids put on has been amazing. They worked so hard all summer learning their lines and songs. They put the show together in only 9 days.
I was so impressed by my DD. When she is singing or running lines at home, I see all the flaws and ways she can improve. On that stage, she was PERFECT!
After her first song, there were so many people clapping (not just politely) and whooping and hollering. I nearly lost my breath. The man next to me leaned over and told me that she was "amazing." So many people told me she "stole the show," and one man even told us that she is so good she should pursue Broadway. Wow! One lady told her that her grandmother (my mother, who's been passed for 9 years) would be so proud of her. I had to fight back the tears.
In this photo she is with "Lt. Brannigan." You can see why I'm very proud.
