Sometimes we push down the wrong path for a long time, sometimes slightly veering in the right direction, only to get onto the forsaken path again. It is through personal experience that we learn the correct road for ourselves. No known previous knowledge or influential people could convince us that we were headed in the wrong direction. We wanted to pave our own way, regardless of the consequences.
For whatever reason, circumstances lead to taking the wrong path for a long time, and as that road was familiar, that road was taken again. To find a way out of the turbulence and discover what was meant to be, this required some time in the depths of darkness. Because to truly walk in the light, we must experience everything that exists. We must discover our talents, our strength and possess the will to fight for the use of those gifts.
We must be allowed the opportunity to flounder in darkness, in order to rise up so strong that we will spend the majority of our time in the light with short intervals of darkness. Nobody can live our lives, they may try but it is just not possible. We must be confident to take each risk as an opportunity presents itself and deal with the consequences.
I am no stranger to the darkness, I have lived the majority of life at the bottom. I have crawled back stronger every time I finally decided to reach for the light. I am a survivor and I am fighter.
We must never give in to the fight, no matter what path we are currently on. We must hope that one day, our strength is gathered and we use our gifts.
