Kittie, Jona & flowers

Thursday, July 24, 2014

I am still babysitting my daughter's Natalie cats Kittie & Jona
Kittie likes to keep cool by sleeping in the bowl in the bathroom. Jona likes to sleep

Even though it has been hot here my flowers are doing good - even my chili pepper plant is giving me chili :) but I did loose a couple of plants because of the heat :(

Hope everybody is keeping cool and have a great weekend

The cats put a smile on my face. Kittie sure looks like Cruzer. Your flower garden is looking fantastic this year. I lost my Petunias due to the heat. The Chili's and Roses look real good!

Cousin Al

Sunday, July 06, 2014

My cousin Al will be 49 this September and he is in remission from his cancer for the last several years. He plays in a baseball league in the San Diego area for the age group of 45 and older. They made it to the playoffs a few Sundays ago but lost the game to be champions. He said they have another chance in October to become champions. In my book he already is. During his series of chemo he never gave up and he pressed on to handle the effects of his chemo. I was there to help him through it. He now works out every day and keeps himself in shape to play baseball. I am very proud of him.

He was very happy to have his two nephews come and cheer him on during the 2nd game.

Hope everybody had a great 4th of July :)

Just seeing this now, because I was away. Cheers to him for all that he has overcome and for making it with his team into the playoffs. He looks great and much younger than his age!

Tell Al he doesn't look his age. He keeps in shape alright. Even though his team didn't win the big game, they did great. His Nephews are adorable!

Sounds like a great guy, and continued remission I pray for him. Love the way you are in his corner. A lot of people just sit and worry about their cancer returning, that is an unknown---better to enjoy the time you have, than regret not doing so while you can live. Your cousin is doing a great job with that.

Kitte & Joana - Mother's Day Gift & Camping :) & flowers

Wednesday, June 11, 2014

Umm - as you can tell Kittie is a Dodger fan & she loves to sun by the sliding door.

Flowers from my sister for mother's day & a very nice candle from my daughter Shelley for Mother's Day.

Then there is Jona with her serious face.

Went on a quick camping trip this weekend - near Bishop - - it was a nice weekend - warm - very relaxing - did walking in the morning and afternoon and especially to go to the restroom was a really good walk.

Came home and was glad to see my flowers did well even though I hadn't watered them for two days.

Hope everybody is having a great week :)

Flowers

Sunday, April 27, 2014

Flowers in my front area.

Back patio area. The dirt in my yard is so difficult to work with - also I have issues with roots. When I was trying to plant my little flowers it was hard - but I did it and I think it looks pretty good. When I water - I need to make sure it goes to the roots because when I dig around the dirt - it is dry.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Looking cheery. Love all of the colors. The cart is cute, so is the snail. Your roses bushes are beautiful. Is the yellow/green an Iceburg? What a unusual color. I like it!! emoticon

Mom's Birthday

Saturday, April 26, 2014

Mom visiting with Jona - Jona hadn't seen mom for a while and was giving her hugs and kisses.

Mom participated in the Easter egg hunt and won a small ducky :)

Yummy ice cream cake for mom :)

Went to Morongo for my mom's birthday - she was happy - she won her money back plus a little extra. She had fun but she said her finger hurt from pushing the Spin button :)

One of the homeowners where I live gave my mom a birthday lunch. We had fun. She has a very pretty show dog and my mom enjoyed holding her.

She just turned 89 years old and what she enjoys to do is work in her big back yard.

Such cute pictures of your Mom. She looks very happy. Always a good thing to get your money back. Jona is so pretty. The dog is so tiny lol. Sure is pretty though. Your Mom got the works for her birthday, and she deserved it. Give her a hug for me! emoticon

I loved these pictures!!! Your mom certainly doesn't look 89. I guess you are as young as you feel and she looks like she feels great. I can see your resemblance to her. Great genes.
