Tired and ready for bed

Thursday, September 18, 2014

Today was PT and my knees really hurt after this.
Went to the fitness center and did cardio. All sitting machines.
Came home and covered the garden area as far as the tarp would go. Hope we do not get the frost they are warning about.
Fixed a fresh veggie bake with summer squash, tomatoes, garlic, and beets.
Onion powder and grated spaghetti cheese.
Tomorrow is farm pick up and Dare to Lose.
No pictures tonight.
Sleep well and wake refreshed and ready to go.

The fresh veggie bake sounds delicious! I will be so sad when the fresh veggies and fruit at our local farm stands are done for the season. The fresh peaches have been incredible, as has the sweet corn and tomatoes.
I do enjoy acorn squash and spaghetti squash too.
Get a great refreshing night's sleep. emoticon

Yes, a busy day but you got a lot accomplished and even fit in time to visit with the ducks at the park.

I hate it when blogs disappear.

PT, Training, pool

Tuesday, September 16, 2014

Today I had PT for my knees and Dare to lose training and then went to the therapy pool to stretch out. I am tired tonight. A well earned tired.
Here are some dahlia pictures. Our neighbor brought us a bouquet yesterday.

How very beautiful, I don't believe I have ever seen a flower like that before. It was very nice of your neighbor to bring some over and for you to share them with us.

Pretty flower, my Dahlia's are just starting to bloom also. They are so pretty and they do last a long time. When I was taking Phy. Ther. in the pool for my shoulder, I just loved it. But my ins. and Medicare would only pay up to a certain amount for PT so it didn't last long and I was to keep the exercises up at home.

Did a lot of yard work moving limb cuttings and burning them. Enjoyed being outside.

Outside is wonderful. I miss being out in the yard, it's been very WET here lately, seems we can't go more than a day without it pouring on our heads.
Enjoy your time out there.

Is that from the storm you had awhile back. I know picking up stick is a job, it's a real work out, just think of all the cal. you burned. I did some mowing yesterday, with all the rain we have been having the yard continues to be mowed twice a week, usually this time of year the lawn is brown and doesn't need mowed.

Did not go to the parade did get work out in

Saturday, September 13, 2014

This morning was cold and rainy. It was to miserable to go and stand out and watch the parade for Old Home Days. This is a one weekend celebration that our small town does each year. There is a parade, chicken Bar-b-que, concerts,
book sale, and fireworks on Sat. night. Our grandniece was in the parade so I feel sad about missing it, but it was just to cold. One of my trainers started a 100 mile charity bike ride and it was so bad that she stopped due to hypothermia. She will do the ride when the weather is better.
I went to the fitness center and did 20 min. rowing, 25 on the VMX, 20 on the recumbent stepper and 15 on the bike.
Came home and diced and chopped fresh veggies and mixed then in a baking dish with some garlic power, black pepper and onion powder and 1 cup of extra sharp shredded cheddar. That will work out to 1/4 cup of cheese per serving.

Ugh, Yeah I think I would have stayed away from the parade as well. I know you feel bad about missing it but if a healthy conditioned person needed to stop their ride because they were getting hypothermia.. That's a cold or worse you just don't need.

Loved that you used the time to get a workout in though. I feel so energized after a workout..

I don't blame you for not going to parade, I wouldn't have gone either. We were suppose to go to a wedding reception last night, but DH and I talked ourselves out of it and just stayed home.
