This weekend has wrapped up with a mini success. I have lost 3 pounds. I got the scale the other day and my weight was fluctuating between a few ounces, depending on the time of day. That was when I realized that I've lost almost 3 pounds.
How did I do it? Simple: moderate exercise (kickboxing, yoga, dancing around the house, raking the yard), some light strengths work (used my body weight), enough rest, no/low carbs, increased protein and no seconds! Just that simple.
I've been keeping my exercise to 15-20 minutes at a time, with the exception of the raking the leaves - that took an hour!. Next week I want to start back on the treadmill and do strength work twice a week. I'm going to limit my workout to 20 minutes.
God bless my wonderful husband who texts me reminders for breakfast, am snack, lunch and pm snack every single day. He even checks to see if I've had any water. Isn't he awesome?
Anyway, it's Friday so tonight is my rest night. I may start Saturday at the gym but I plan to spend the weekend resting up.
