Kind of Frustrated

I weighed in today and was not happy. Last weigh in I was 129.6 and although I thought this was probably a very lucky weigh in I was not expecting to see 132.2 on the scale this morning. Especially after carefully watching my calories the past few days! I had my wisdom teeth out and was on a yogurt/smoothie/soup diet so I thought I would actually LOSE weight not gain it back! I think part of it is water weight from being in bed and not moving much, but man was it depressing to see the scale back over 130 again!
Well just gotta keep tracking and working. Honestly I feel like my weight efforts are on hold for this job interview I have on Thursday. Super nervous and having a hard time to focus on other things, but if I get it I am going to be so relaxed and happy tghrough the rest of my senior year....
Either way though I am tracking calories better and trying to exercise now that the wisdom teeth swelling is gone! Glad I got them out though, just not happy about this consequence!

    Think about how much good you're doing for your body taking such good care of it. It's not all about the weight! Keep it up, and the weight loss will follow.

    I hope it all works out!!! I'm sure the weight gain was a fluke! Keep up the good work. I'm somewhat frustrated w my weight too! :-/ No matter how hard I workout or what I eat.... I'm just maintaining... so I gotta keep pushing! :-)

Switching to Drinking Black Coffee

So I've been pulling out all the ropes trying to keep my calories between 1200-1500 a day and still fill satisfied/ fulfill my nutrition requirements.
One thing I've discovered is that while I can go without coffee most mornings, having a cup a few times a week really makes me feel energized and I enjoy taking the time to drink it while reading something or just relaxing. It is a nice part of my morning that I don't want to give up.
Reading others comments I have been really encouraged to try my coffee black. Since I started drinking coffee the first time a few years ago, I couldn't bear not to have sugar and cream with it. Why else would I drink that disgusting beverage? Now my perspective has changed a bit. Once in a while I will be drinking my coffee and just feel disappointed that it doesn't even taste like coffee, just a sweet sweet sugary drink of some sort.
This morning I had my coffee with just a squirt of honey and some skim milk. I really enjoyed it! And saved myself about 100 calories for my morning that could go towards an egg or some fruit!
So, I can save myself a couple hundred calories a week...If I don't compensate with another type of sweet, meaning that if I just cut out my sugary sweet not-really-coffee coffee, I will lose an average of one pound every ten weeks, virtually effortlessly!
For the next week ahead, my goal is to learn how to make more delicious and nutritious salads (another item I despised in the past, but now cannot deny that they can be both good and extremely healthy) My salads are incredibly bland and I cannot find a healthy dressing that I like! I just need a little bit of flavor, maybe something a little tart and simple...Gotta look up some recipes.

Weight Loss Plan-Cool Idea

I started a three week weight loss plan with every day plotted out, and daily weigh-ins. I think that is the only way to keep myself on track. So far there have been successes as well as failures, but I'm fairly positive about it.
The cool idea that I am excited about was something I heard someone else talking about on a forum. The idea was to get a jar, title it 'gym' (or whatever goal you want to keep track of) and each time you go to the gym (or accomplish your designated task) you put $1 in the jar towards some purchase you would like to make.
For myself, I'm stuck between a Kindle and a video game I want. I'm thinking I will go with the Kindle (200 gym visits omg) because I read on my phone/laptop waaay too much for school and I can tell the impact on my eyes.
I'm just excited to see this jar as a physical representation of success. And who doesn't love seeing a jar full of money??

I started my weight loss plan on the 21st, so its been about a week exactly. I've lost 1.5 lbs but my goal was to lose 2lbs. Tonight I will be doing Zumba/yoga so that will be good.
I'm really proud of my calorie tracking. It has been very helpful so far and has helped me a lot to get back in the zone of appropriate eating for my size and activity level.
A failure has been, of course, eating a few things I should not have, and losing resolution. But overall I have kept going and the scale looks good.

For the rest of this week goal is gym 2 more times, eat more veggies, and get my jar set up!

I made a list of the calories and serving sizes of all the things that I generally eat during the week. There were some surprises, some good, some bad.
I've also signed up for Zumba on Mondays and Wednesdays and for Turbo-Kick on Tues Thurs nights. I hope I can do Zumba, I'm trying to rearrange my work schedule a little bit to fit it in. Anyways thats about it. Hoping to make some improvements to my health this month. January is turning out to be my fitness month every year now it seems.
Anyways, tomorrow morning the weigh-in...sometimes dreaded...but I feel optimistic that whatever I weigh in the morning will be reduced by the end of the week so its not too bad.
