So I need some advice about.......

Wednesday, June 26, 2013

My lovely Daughter is not loving stroller walks anymore, but is not able to walk very far. I love our walks. When I am not working, it is how we start our day. But she is now getting very grizzly like 10 minutes in (we usually walk an hour). So Mommas what did you do when this happened with your 18 month olds, I really dont want this to be the end.......

I should have mentioned that she also pulls hair, and weighs 35lbs, but maybe I will try again.....35lbs would help me make the most of my workout *LOL* Thanks btw, cause I think she is so stinkin cute, but I am biased!

I don't know how heavy your daughter is and how strong your back is, LOL, but at around that age I wore a back carrier for my daughter and plopped her in there when she got tired of walking. She actually enjoyed being in it very much, and then the rest of my walk was with weights, LOL!

It's not about being perfect 100% of the time. It's about taking care of yourself everyday. Just like MOABPINUP and JOHGLO2011 have stated, you can only do so much and life gets in the way sometimes. Instead of feeling guilty, are there ways to rack up some exercise throughout the day? Studies have shown that 3 10 minute intervals are just as good for the body as 30 minutes of continuous exercise...so if you don't have time for that walk in the evening, are there things you can do throughout the day? Regardless, take care of yourself and be nice to yourself. Everyday is a new day to be healthy! emoticon

You can only do so much, especially with a teething baby. Naps will help but no matter what, even if just for your sanity, you need to try to talk a walk in the evening. You can do this. And I know you will be just fine! Just pick up and start again tomorrow!

ahhhhh my butt hurts........

Wednesday, June 19, 2013

Well this girl just made herself feel like a pile of jello last night with the Gillian Michaels Body Shred. I have been doing Zumba an hour twice a week for 4 months and I have a power walk group I started 6 months ago, that goes out an hour, 4 times a week. So In my head, I really thought Gillian could do no harm........HA HA........I am having trouble peeing.......the distance from standing to sitting is hard to do *LOL* But I have to say I love the feeling of just knowing I am heading in the right direction, and feeling my body, instead of bloated over indulgence and self distain.......

well i slipped, but i seem to have consciously recovered!

Monday, June 17, 2013

So this weekend has been a bit of a landslide with wine and food and family, I was conscious of my decision to stay on track, but I didn't really.........the interesting part was I would think oh man i really screwed up on friday, and then i would log in everything, even the appetizers and I was like oh hmmm i only went over 100 cals, and then Saturday the same .......only over 500 cals........and Sunday i was under.......so it made me feel better to actually log it and realize that maybe my choices, although not the best, were far from the worse :) Today is weigh-in........I lost a LB (SHOCKIING) But i totally accept that for all the excercise i did :) Hope everyone else is having a great week, and for anyone who slipped up, track it anyway, I bet its not as bad as you beat yourself up for :)

Congrats on the weight loss! I think you're totally right and a splurge every now and again is good for the soul. Just make sure it doesn't turn into a habit emoticon

You're totally right about the tracking. I thought I messed up bad over the weekend by going to a restaurant and lacking some portion control (it happens). I ate out at lunch time and had a very small dinner, but I was over by about 30 calories for the whole day, and it was fine. Tracking really does help keep it all in perspective...in BOTH directions.

Congrats on your weight loss! I too thought I had totally blown it this last Friday, but when I tracked it, I was below my upper calorie range. Surprising! Best wishes to you!
