Impossible? Or is it . . . I'm Possible? ;-)

Saturday, September 15, 2012

Some days, I think it's impossible to ever reach my goal, but I know that I have a good plan in place. I have broken that big goal into smaller mini-goals that I can reach along the way. If I look at the next mini-goal, I KNOW I can do that.

One step at a time, one foot in front of the other. Consistency is the key.

Yes, I'm Possible & so are you!!

Blessings to you!! emoticon

Yes, but do you have goals... important ones to you? Look at the athlete's face... she can see her goal... she knows what she wants and she knows what to do to get there... she has practised this many times, and maybe not succeeded every time... but she knows that this time, that gold medal is for her.

GO for your GOLD! I, and everyone in SP, is cheering you on! We know you can do it!

Life is short, tell them you love them.

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

When everyone is remembering 9/11, I hope that each one of you remembers the courage of each and every government worker who simply went to work the next day. For those of us who heard and/or saw planes fly past our building it is something that will never be forgotten. Each one of us heard stories of friends and family members who were lost, injured, or whose status was unknown. Some of us watched the Pentagon burn for days on end.

I work near the Pentagon. The plane that hit the Pentagon flew so close to the top of our 26-floor building that the whole building shook - I will never forget that feeling. Those of us who were there that day freak out a little every time a plane or helicopter flies a little close. We could see the fireball rising from the Pentagon & later, for days, the thick black smoke spiraling into the sky.

Life is so short. Tell the people you love, often, how precious they are to you.

Blessings to you.

I learned that the hard way when my husband died at home unexpectedly. When he dropped me off at work earlier in the day I had said see you later insteead of goodbye.
I never got to say gloodbye to him; he died later that night when i was at work waiting for him. Now i always say I love you and good bye to my daughter when she goes somewhere.

Oh so true, a lesson I learned the hard way back in 1984 after a personal loss but truly, truly learned 11 years ago on this day with the loss of friends I hadn't taken the time to keep touch with in the months and weeks before. Thank you for this beautiful thought on this day.
