Don't we all wish that? One thing I've realized is that once you get into a regular exercise routine, you just crave it, like you crave water when you're thirsty. Give it a try & I think you'll learn to love exercise, too.
I have noticed that when I'm with my buddies at the gym & the music is great, I tend to work out a little harder. I have also noticed that when the gym is slow & there are very few people there, I don't work out as hard. Do I have passion for my journey? Of course I do. Sometimes, I'm just plain tired after working all day. But I need to keep an eye on this so that I don't get lazy in the gym.
Today, keep plugging along & be mindful of your choices when no one is looking. Especially with regards to food. Here are some posters to think about as you start your day.
Don't just think about it once in awhile, think about it every day. It will help keep you on track & motivated to do what you need to do to reach your goals.
Visualize yourself reaching your goal. What will you be wearing? How do you think you'll feel? How do you think your family & friends will feel about your success? Be excited now about the sense of accomplishment & pride you will feel once those goals are reached.
If you're not the best, pretend you are:
You CAN do this. WE can do this. It is not impossible!!
Look at all of the people on SparkPeople who have already done it!!! There's a lot of motivation in looking at those weight loss SparkPages. I look at one or more of them every day.
Thank you 111Butterfly111. I've been mulling over what you said for many days now.
I feel that until we learn those lessons about ourselves, we may get stuck for a time or progress may be about as slow as a .
For me, the scale hasn't moved in close to 3 months. What makes this time different the the other countless times I've tried to lose weight? I DIDN'T GIVE UP THIS TIME!! Thank you SparkFriends & thank you SparkPeople!!!!! I know it's because of YOU!
I have continued to keep making healthy food choices & I've have continued to exercise. I hear over & over in SparkPeople articles & on your blogs (thank you SparkFriends) that the changes are continuing to happen on the inside, even if I can't see the progress on the outside -- YET!
As one of my carpool buddies is fond of saying, "Suck it up, Buttercup!!" ~ Sheri A. ~
I told my hubby that after having cancer, I was going to get this weight off one way or another. I WILL NOT let it beat me. With God's help the cancer did not win & with God's help I will also win this battle of the bulge. I am DETERMINED!!!
Positive mental attitude is the key.
So, lets roll up our sleeves & get to work!! What can you learn about yourself today?
