I'm like most people -- I don't like a lot of change, but sometimes change is necessary. To keep from getting bored with my exercise routine, I've tried some new things lately. I've been hula hooping (how fun!!!) & I just purchased a Kettlebell workout that's a lot of fun. I have also tried jogging. I know that sounds kind of odd, but anyone who knows me knows that I don't jog or run unless I'm being chased & don't want to be caught.
When I was in high school, I had gym immediately after lunch. They'd make us go out there in the heat of summer & run a mile, after which I'd lose my lunch & have breathing issues. I didn't realize at the time that I had exercise-induced asthma & I wasn't diagnosed until about 3 or 4 years ago (as an adult). Now, I don't mind the jogging so much. In fact, my gym is having a jog-a-thon just for the fun of it & I plan on signing up.
I didn't used to do much strength training either, but now, I'm all about it!!! I my little girl muscles. The benefits of strength training are huge:
And there's nothing better than those sore muscles to let you know that you had a great workout:
Today's challenge: Go try something new today. It could be a new exercise or a new fruit or veggie that you haven't tried before.
Blessings to you!!
