There was a time in my life when I was a Negative Nelly. To quote my dad, "I wouldn't have been happy if I'd been hung with a new rope." I'm so glad I'm not that way anymore. I think a lot of it was health issues (this was long before I was diagnosed with breast cancer). I was in pain all the time & didn't know why. I had a hard time getting out of bed in the morning & life just wasn't that grand. It was very difficult to function & I had chronic insomnia. I'm so blessed that the doctor finally figured out what my issue was & prescribed a medication that changed my life.
Being able to deal with breast cancer & still have a positive attitude was monumental!! My doctor said that in order to beat it, a positive attitude was KEY.
Life is so much more fun now!! I enjoy new adventures with my hubby.
Let's not only spread the Spark, let's spread positivity!!
My turn to spread it:
You all are !! Thank you for your support & encouragement every single day!! You help keep me motivated! You are a true blessing to me.
We all want to win this "race" that we're on -- not that it's really a race, but I guess you could consider it a very slow race, right? It's going to take some time.
What is victory all about anyway?
Basically, if you want to win this "race" you need to conquer your own desires. Your desire may be to sit every night in front of the TV while you eat a huge slice of cake, but that's not going to cause you to be victorious. You need to work for it.
What are you going to do today that will lead you to victory?
I need one of these t-shirts!! One with the SP logo would be neat, don't you think?
I hope you all are well. I'm still fighting this creeping crud that started out as a sinus infection because of a horribly stinky, heavy pollinated plant down the hall from my cube at work. I've been on antibiotics since Monday, but one of the dangers of having asthma is that any junk that starts in your head will move into your chest. No fun!!!
I sooooo miss going to the gym. My little girl muscles crave it, but it's not smart to do that right now. I'll just rest until after Easter & hopefully I'll be good to go.
Even if things aren't going all that great, look for the good in your day.
Look for the path just on the other side of the mountain. We all have our mountains, right?
It's your journey & your journey alone, whether you are trying to lose weight or you're training for a race. People can come with you, but everyone is unique & different & your path may be a bit different. That's ok -- if we all were the same, this life would be so boring, right?
Discipline is one of the keys. No one really likes that word, but it's an important one.
