Love the simplicity and power of this quotation! The little things - and the big things - do add up, so we all have to remember that we can make big changes by doing little things.

But if it is the little things that people say that are getting to you, remember a wise thing that was said to me once ... "Don't rub it in, rub t out". ... some things just aren't worth stockpiling!

Ugh!!

Saturday, September 22, 2012

I feel about as good as this little guy looks. Ugh!! DH & I have had a cold for a few days, so my workouts have pretty much gone out the window. I really, really miss my exercise. I didn't realize how addicted I am to it.

Anyway, cold & flu season is coming, so wash your hands often. It's kinda hard to not catch a cold when you live with the person who brought it home to you. emoticon No worries. I still love him -- he's a keeper.

Blessings to you!! emoticon

So sorry to hear ....... but if it has been a few days, soon it should be done? ...... I know exactly what yu are saying re the exercise and missing it (Have been in the same sniffly place and it is an UGH! ...... Thank Heavens-not forever! So, just to encourage a dab .......... it is ok tht you have backed off or even taken a rest as your immune system is chugging away HARD to rid those pesky invaders .... so rest and lots of liquids like water, juices, etc. is just what the Doctor ordered. (I will send yu a healthy goodie in a minute!) ......... Best ......... Jan (and I love the pic-it is adorable even if he too feels yucky) ....... emoticon

Are you sportin' the right kind of 'tude?

Your attitude can make you, or break you.

One of the things that the doctor told my dad several years ago when he diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer is that "attitude is everything -- if you have a good attitude about this, you can fight this & win." My dad is an amazing person. He had the best attitude of anyone I have ever seen as he went through his cancer treatments. He never complained & you could tell he didn't feel well, particularly when he had a chemo pump attached to him & he was getting radiation at the same time. Today, my dad is still cancer free. I am convinced it's because of his great attitude.

My dad & I have the same oncologist. Doc said to me when I was diagnosed, "attitude is everything -- if you have a good attitude about this, you can fight this & win." How about that? Hehe!! (I expect Doc says that to all his patients & I have met some amazing people in his waiting room).

Now, apply that to the rest of your life. Do you have a good attitude about your healthy eating plan? Your exercise plan? How about other areas of your life? I have found that by practicing a good attitude every day, everything in my life runs more smoothly. Some days it's really hard when circumstances aren't the best, but I always try to find that silver lining in those clouds & wear my smile anyway.

Blessings to you! emoticon

These days, "discipline" has a negative connotation involving harsh rules and stinging whips (!). But did you know that the word "discipline" comes from a Latin word meaning "to follow", so "discipline" is actually the following of people who are already doing the right things... which is exactly what SP coaches and leaders provide for us!

With this positive view of "discipline" it is easy to follow our guides, enjoy the journey, and know that we are on the way to our goals and great results!

Discipline is critical to success and the more you practice it, the easier it becomes.
