Ever have a bad day?

My husband jokes that I get up "in the middle of the night" to get ready for work. It's not actually the middle of the night, but it is very early in the morning (3:45 a.m.). I have a long commute to work and even though I have been working in the same office complex for 25 years & getting up very early in the morning, I am STILL not a morning person. It's really hard to be this chipper this early in the morning when I'd love to sleep for another couple of hours.

After a long day at work, the LAST thing I want to do is go to the gym, but I really can't get up any earlier, so we work with what we have, right? But, I go to the gym most every evening on my way home from work. It's not only good for my health, but it keeps me from taking out my frustrations of the day on DH when I get home.

The biggest plus is that I feel AMAZINGLY wonderful by the time I get home. I hold onto that feeling every day so that I make sure I go to the gym before I come home.

So today, gym bag packed -- check; ice water -- check; gym shoes -- check. I'm ready for Zumba class this evening!!

    I would say that you're really motivated to be able to get up that early and then on your way home you still stop at the gym and exercise. Good for you! emoticon

    Wow, 3.45 am! You must love your job so much so much if you stayed for so long.
I do agree about effect of exercising. I call it my happy pill. It does make me feel amazing!

Motivation is tough. Sometimes when it doesn't get dropped in our laps, we have to go searching for it. One of the SparkTeams I am on has a team goal of searching out one motivational SparkPage per day. I like that because it keeps me on track when I see that others have lost 100+ pounds & I only needed to originally lose about 55.

So, if motivation isn't handed to you, go find it!! There are lots of places to look, especially on this website.

    There's a place in Pretty Woman where Richard Gere asks Julia Roberts why she dwells on the bad things people have said about her. She says, the bad things are easier to believe. Seems foolish, but that's how it is sometimes. 10 people can tell you you look great, one person can notice your back fat and you're down in the dumps again.
Thanks for the reminder not to be dumpy -- in any sense. :)
