Day 1 Clean Eating

It's been a while since I blogged, lost some lbs since the last blog!! I have a little more that 2 months left until my wedding/honeymoon and I have been working towards a clean eating life style. Today is day one of making it an every day occurrence.

My day consists of rolled oats for breakfast, cottage cheese, fresh cantaloupe, fresh carrots, roasted pork, yogurt, and almonds. Getting in 2, 15 minute walks while I am at work tonight then coming home to 45 minutes of cardio Pilates.

The countdown to our wedding begins!!

Week 1, Day 4

Valentines day proved to be a struggle, ate half as much as I would normally at dinner. Stomach must be adjusting to these smaller meals :) However, Valentine's day chocolates put me over for the day. I was happy that I didn't over fill myself though and we had a wonderful night! (LAST VALENTINES AS AN UNWED COUPLE!!!!)

Today I am back on track with a fabulous lunch packed with avacados, tomatoes, lean meats and low carb sandwhich thin! Dinner on the same path as well.

Working some OT tomorrow - already have the day planned and tracked. Saturday's are rough for me but I am in the right mindset to get things done.

Didn't meet my goal due to Valentines day but I will be spending some time on the elliptical Sunday instead of going shopping for my reward. Either way I see it as a win - win situation :)



Week 1 Goal & Reward

I have been working on planning my meals the day prior and it's been going well! I like having a menu to be able to follow instead of trying to come up with meal plans as the day goes. I reflect in a food journal about how the day went to keep my mind on track. LOVE THIS!!

Switching things up this week with a weekly goal which I will then give myself a reward if I follow through.

Week 1 Goal = KEEP TRACK! No matter what it was that I ate or activity that I completed, track it in SP.
Reward = 1 new outfit and an afternoon at the mall on Sunday :) (***walking and shopping***)

Day 2 of tracking my week (M-Sundays) and so far so good!

Finding what works for me

Am realizing that I have hit this plateau because I am comfortable with my weight at it's current number. I feel better, look better and make better decisions.

I have this goal in my head that I am matching up to others around me that have lost weight but that's not MY number. I want to get FIT and not just simply be going to extremes that are unrealistic for my lifestyle. I LOVE the 17DD but it's just not compatible with my lifestyle to stay on track. I like to hit up the bars and have a few drinks with friends on the weekends, within my calorie budget and that works for me. When I am too restricted it backfires.

I am going to take the baby steps - couting calories regardless of what kind of food it is, watching my portions and finding a workout regimine that will stick with me and not feel too obligated. The relaxed way is for me as when I am less stressed about the goals the less I stressfully ruin my diet and progress.

Cycle one got me back on track and now I am working towards a true new me with all the tools that I have learned thus far! WISH ME LUCK!!

Cycle One Day 1 - 17DD

So happy that I chose to revert back to the 17DD as it has worked for me a few times over this past year. Don't know what it is about September-December that causes me to be lazy but then when January comes around i am ready to get things back into action! Wierd?!?

My weekend habbits have always been poor however I am making the change with this long weekend to prove that it can be changed! Weekend food choices include lots of veggies, pork tenderloin and fajitas (minus the tortilla) with some yummy yogurts that I picked up from the store today!

Taking my little brother out for an eye exam, shopping and some swim time at the YMCA :) Sounds like the perfect weekend start up but sticking to it is going to be the challened, wish me luck!!
