I haven't bogged in a long time. I'm hoping it will help me reach my goals. I'm finding out I'm not the only one having problems with migraines & other aches & pains. It seems this bitter cold & snow is not condusive to good health. I just have to hang in there & know this, too, will pass.
I did decent at bowling last night. I got a 115, 96, 90 which means I will maintain my average of 105. I have a lot of fun & get lots of laughs.

There is one thing that stood out for me in this chapter that I finally understand after 2 years of being in Sparkpeople. I never understood how to do a vision collage to reach my goals. I do have some goals I want to reach besides just weight loss & this would help me with that as well. It would help me organize(hopefully) & show the naysayers that I'm not crazy& that I can do it!

I began exercising 3 times a week in July of 2009. I gradually added minutes & days up from there. My health improved for the 1st 6 months, but I didn't lose any weight. I have maintained those improvements & added more improvements since then. After I joined SP in January of 2010, I increased the amount of time I spent exercising, especially in the summertime. Even now, I feel restless, if I don't exercise at least a little bit each day. Only one problem-my weight has gone up instead of down, especially this fall when I've been so depressed. The depression is getting better. I'm enjoyng things that I used to enjoy again. I'm even thinking about getting back into my sewing again.
Back to the exercise thing- Exercise has improved my strength and stamina. When I 1st started, I could only stand & work for 20 minutes & then sit down to rest. Now I can work for 1.5 to 2 hours before I need to sit. In the summer I can work longer than the winter. That's how fibromyalgia is. So, for me exercise has been worth it, even if I haven't lost the weight yet. Maybe next year?!

I started out the weekend going to lunch at Perkins with the "Rose" women to celebrate my Mom's birthday.(I won't say how old she was.) I had a somewhat healthy main dish with a diet drink and lots of water. I wanted a desert, but they didn't come with prices, so I passed. At the checkout, I saw some yummy brownies. So, I bought one & shared it with my skinny husband. He loved that.
After eating, I hit the mall & walked constantly except for one small stop for a few seconds. I walked foe 35 minutes quicly & worked up a sweat. At the end, I got my SIL a birthday present, since his birthday is on Easter. All these birthdays could break my bank account! LOL ! When I get to the parking lot, the parking break light on my truck doesn't go off! I never put the parking break on!So I try a few things around the parking lot & there's too much drag to take it on the highway home. So, I call my wonderful hubby & he says "I wonder if it's low in fluid". Since it's raining hard & cold, he drives the clunker to help me & brings me some fluid. Sure enough, It works! We go grocery shopping together with the 2 vehicles & get home about 8 pm for supper. Good thing we had somethings to cook quickly.
