Seems I have lost the struggle, please keep praying, just in case

Tuesday, February 25, 2014

Yes I have lost the will and discipline to stop eating and change my life.
I am unable to control myself and eat too much of what I am not suppose to eat, not gouging, but eating unhealthy , yet tasteful foods.

Seems I am giving up and in my mind I am truly ashamed and sad that I know my days are now limited because I can not overcome this. Being alone and lonely are not good motivators, apparently.

I wish to thank all of you here for trying to help me overcome this, but I guess my willpower is not strong enough, but thanks so very much anyway.

Patrick

Be strong Patrick. Take it one day at a time and don't look at the bigger picture. You haven't lost the fight. It's just time to dust yourself off and give it another go tomorrow. There is surely ONE healthy thing you can do for yourself tomorrow. What will that be? Maybe you'll go for a short walk? Maybe you'll get your glasses of whatever in. Just do ONE thing and feel accomplished at the end of the day for doing that ONE thing. Please don't give up. You deserve to reach your goals. We're all supporting you here on Spark emoticon

You ever have "one of those days", well ....

Tuesday, April 02, 2013

Things come to a screeching halt, and you forget who you are and all the hard work you have done so far...and then wham, you are back at it again

I mean Biscuits and Gravy, Waffle House, all amercian, twice in 1 week, as well as a big Easter Buffet, and then Taco Bell, how does one allow this to happen?

I am really mad at me , but everything but the buffet was awesome, even the buffet was , but I left feeling bloated, the food was great, but my conscious was not.

Guess the only thing to do is stop the madness and get back on track, right???

Iss it really that dang easy, it is if you have a short memory and can forgive yourself and then move onward toward your goals....Guess it could be !!

gotta run
still driving to North Dakota from Florida

Being honest about your struggles and acknowledging that you made some unhealthy choices is a great start to getting back on track. We all fall off the wagon from time to time.
Get back up and keep fighting. You are worth it!

Figure out what you were telling yourself before you ran into the troubles that brought on the guilt! Develop an argument that you can present yourself when faced with the temptations! Don't beat yourself up but take the blame and develop a strategy. Figure out alternatives to the foods that you chose that are healthy or just spread out the time between those splurges. If you tell yourself Biscuits and Gravy are okay when you've made space in your calorie run, then you make them part of the plan rather than part of the failure! Your in charge and the choices are yours. Plan to win rather than admit defeat!

All you can do is get back on track. Try to learn from what went wrong and not repeat the same mistakes.
WE all do it, we all fall off. The ones who are successful are the ones who don't Give up. They carry on.
You can do this! For every two steps back take 3 forward.
Hugs,
Angela

Good for you not beating yourself up - you recognized the problem - maybe it will remind you next time you face those days to just choose a little less. emoticon

    Yep - it's that easy.

I believe more harm comes from beating yourself up over choices than from the actual food intake

Traveling healthy takes a lot of practice - so just keep working at it.

Safe journey.

We shouldn't say something to someone that we wouldn't want said to us! The words we say can be like bullets! Once they leave the gun, the damage is done and you can't take back the hurt that your words impart upon a person! So wisdom can deliver a message much better than irrational emotion ever will!

After years of "eyeballing" my food, I am amazed at how "off" I was when I actually started weighing and measuring. It is really no wonder how the pounds gradually piled on. Thanks for the visual aids!! emoticon

My doctor is always telling me that it is not what I eat but how much so portion control is right. No food should be forbidden but you must control how much of that food you eat. Thanks for the visuals.

Honestly I find hard to think so, but maybe I am, just a lttle bit anyway.

Down almost 100lbs, and about 150-175lbs to go, then , watch out world , my SEXY WILL BE BACK.

KINDA LIKE THE THIS GUY BELOW

AT LEAST I CAN HOPE RIGHT, LOL

You know, that guy in the picture could be a complete jerk - maybe no sexy there at all. Not to say you shouldn't aim for it but sexy is about a lot more than physique. *grin* Way to go on your achievements so far - you're an inspiration!
