1 pound gone...

Tuesday, June 10, 2014

Don't usually get on the scale (it isn't usually my friend) and it said I lost 1 pound. Big yippee...i've been on a plateau for a l-o-n-g time so one pound isn't all that great but...guess i should be happy. Who knows...maybe i'll check the scale again in a few weeks and there will be an even better surprise. Fingers crossed. emoticon

I'm right there with you on that plateau Propman! Hadn't lost but 1 in a whole month. But I just read a very interesting article about high intensity interval training on Dr Mercola. I posted a link on my blog today and talked about it more on yesterday's blog if you are interested in reading it. Worth a shot! (((hugs))) emoticon

BTW, congrats on the one pound! That's 4 sticks of butter. emoticon

How do I.....

Tuesday, June 03, 2014

If this title shows twice it's because i hit a wrong key...sorry. Anyway, I know someone gave me the answer to this before but think it may have been deleted. When you're in tracking your daily exercise - how do you get the calorie count to show when you're doing weights? Have no idea how many calories i may be burning when strength training. Would really like to know.

Thanks. Think spring may have finally shown itself around these parts! emoticon

I'm back.......

Tuesday, April 22, 2014

Have been off for a few days from work and SP but now am back. Had hoped the time off would have been restful but....not. Anyway, today i'm back to the fitness center. Yea! Plan is to do at least 15 minutes of cardio and 15 strength training. If there's any of my lunchtime left then i'll add some extra cardio.

You can do this. Boy I lose slow and go up and down but never giving up is the key to getting healthier. Doing the gym is a great thing. I do it at home but my daughter and granddaughter go to the gym.

It's great that you're back to SP quickly; if I leave off, it easily turns into weeks (if not longer :( ). Good luck with keeping working out and all the other healthy stuff!

One week of good 5/12/14 - 5/16/14

Tuesday, April 15, 2014

Finally got in a full week where i exercised each day. I'm pleased and happy to have done it! Still taking the stairs 2-3 times per day as well (3 flights each time). Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Taking the stairs is a great idea! Any extra activity should definitely help you. And you have to stick with it. Plateaus suck but you just have to persevere through them. You will eventually figure out what works for your body and get that scale moving down again. Weight loss is such a long journey. Just stick with it! You can do it!

The stairs are good as they will add to your fitness minutes. Any little thing will add up so be happy.

I haven't had a lot of time to work out as of late as well and todays already the middle of the month?

Stick with it. I plateaued for four weeks before having a weight loss. SP helped me through it by tracking nutrition and exercise. Good Luck! emoticon
