Walking in the Park

Well since my doctor told me to stop taking Zumba, I've started walking in the park. I listen to music while walking which adds a very relaxing touch. In the park where I walk the equipment is exercise equipment instead of your regular park stuff. So I work-out on the equipment doing 4 reps of 20 on each piece. I think this is much better for me than Zumba because I don't ache all the time. I go to the park 3-4 times a week. This is my inner Mantra!

    Well, congrats on not getting bummed out because you had to stop Zumba. Some people would use that as an excuse not to exercise for as long as they could. Haha. Wow, you leave somewhere with the neatest park I've ever heard of. Must be a big city.

Knee Problems

My knees have been hurting this past week. It makes it very hard to exercise when you're in pain. Today is Monday and I feel a little better.

  Same here. Knees and IT band issues. I'm just trying to keep exercise slow and easy, but daily. I guess making it a part of my life not just an activity I do sometimes. emoticon

    I have chronic knee problems. I was supposed to have knee replacements a few years ago, but two things have salvaged me so far.

1. Acupuncture, yes of all things, I was on crutches and now am crutch free.

2. Weight loss, every pound lost is worth 4 lbs. less pressure on the knees.

Hope you win this battle. I am rooting for you.

Bouncing Back

Well I've been under the weather for a few days, so I didn't exercise. I couldn't make it to Zumba either. However this weekend I start a exercise tape at home. Back to Zumba tomorrow and I will do 3 days Zumba and 3 day walk away belly fat. I need to weigh in the near future. I feel so much better I pretty much just want to stay on my regime, keep exercising and log more food more consistently.

It's almost been 90 days of Zumba!

I'm moving toward 90 days of Zumba and I don't ache all over afterwards. I've been a lot more energetic and eating healthier foods. I plan to keep at it. Doing Zumba 3X/week really adds up.
Today was a lovely day so I walked around outside, hope tomorrow is nice also, so that I can walk.

Do you take classes, or use a dvd?
If you use a dvd which one do you use? I'm thinking about trying Zumba but here at home.

Zumba A New Way of Life

Well I've been taking Zumba for one month. Every time I think I'm past the soreness we do a new routine and I revisit a new set of aches and pain. Soreness, it sends a loud message to the sedentary body. All I can say at this point is I've made a commitment to exercising and I plan to stick with it.
