MAKING THE MOST OF MY DAYS

Tuesday, December 09, 2014

I AM MAKING THE MOST OF MY DAYS LEADING UP TO THE HOLIDAY SEASON,IN MY FAMILY WE CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING,CHRISTMAS,AND NEWS YEAR DAY WITH A LOT OF FOOD EATING,DESSERTS,AND FAMILY.SO I'M TRYING TO GET SOME WEIGHT OFF.EAT HEALTHY AND CONTINUE TO EAT HEALTHY.BUT WHEN I WANT SOMETHING SWEET I DON'T DEPRIVE MYSELF.I KNOW I CAN HAVE IT AS LONG AS I PRACTICE PORTION CONTROL.BECAUSE I LEARN WHEN I DEPRIVE MYSELF IT BACK FIRES AND I GO OVERBOARD.THEN I FEEL GUILTY AND BEAT MYSELF UP AND IT DOES NOT DO ME ANY GOOD.I PRAY WE ALL OF US USE PORTION CONTROL AND SELF CONTROL IN THE TIMES OF OUR UPCOMING HOLIDAYS.WE STILL CAN HAVE FUN ENJOY OURSELVES WITHOUT GOING OVERBOARD.FINALLY WE MUST NOT FORGET TO EXERCISE IF ITS EVEN JUST GOING FOR A WALK TO WALK OFF SOME CALORIES.I HOPE THIS HELP ANYONE.THIS IS WHAT I WILL AIM FOR TO PREVENT ME FROM GAINING WEIGHT DURING THE HOLIDAYS AND BECOMING LAZY.

Portion control...control of yourself not just "self control"...exercise at the chances and drinking tons of that H2O will help get that loss! You've got a terrific plan!!

Excellent plan...now prepare your mind like you're preparing your body; The mind is a powerful tool, find a mantra (or more than one), write them down if you're going out of town...and repeat literally repeat them in times of need. For example:

I eat to live, not live to eat""..."I want you but I don't need you"...etc.

Sometimes, when it's cold in the apartment, a good work out can warm you right up! Good luck!

It's hard to stay the course. Determination helps. So does goal setting. Set a small goal and then give yourself a pat on the back for achieving it. It helps with the determination :)

Good health and good luck to you!

OH MY COLD WEATHER IS HERE TO STAY (BURRR)

Tuesday, November 18, 2014

The cold weather has come in like a roaring lion. But i shall not fret, because i will find eventive ways to burn those calories. One thing i love about winter is plenty of homemade vegetable beef soup, homemade chicken noodle soup, and homemade chili. so i will still be able to get my vegetables in and stay warm in the process. As well as having homemade soups i can eliminate a lot of the sodium from canned soups by making homemade soups and using frozen mixed vegetables, not canned. Now it's time to get me a workout schedule planned out,so i will not lapse in my fitness progress.Remember planning is key. emoticon

I agree about the soups. So tasty and the best part of winter. I can't stand canned soup. It's so gross.

Super strategies!! Homemade soup is a brilliant idea for those colder than cold days and nights! I trust you were able to create a workout plan that will allow for the cold days, too? Looking forward to hearing how those soups come out, how easy those workouts become and how much help all of us can be!!
