According to all of the quiz's on Sparkpeople I have read and taken part in you can't target individual parts of the body, and yet, I get SparkPeopole sponsored emails to target this body part or that body part.

So what's the dealybop, can you or can't you?

Not that I am at a point in my journey where it makes a difference since it is a major accomplishment just to get out and walk. That will be another day, I digress.

...so riddle me this.

    I know! I noticed the same thing....you can't "target" an area to lose weight, BUT do these exercises to target your thigh?!? LOL!
I just assume they are written by a guy....my usual conclusion for any thing not thought out ...Sorry Ralph.

I too, am not even in the ballpark of where it matters...my exercise is way more Miss, than Hit! But trying to improve!

I wish you strength on this healthy journey!

What the Hay its a Gray Day

Its a gray day., complete with light drizzle and chilly temperatures. Meanwhile I'm sitting at my desk looking out the window at work thinking about getting started.

I have been off track for a long time, several months at least.

Gaining weight is easy, so when I say I am off track that is really a misnomer since I am on a fast track to gain weight.

Suddenly I have this thought...I know thinking again. But what if I take some action instead of just thinking, what if I go to the mall and walk for a bit, or journal, or better yet blog about it. Lets see if I just journal no one knows except for me that I am in a rut. Where as if I blog its more public and just maybe I will will be a little more accountable for my actions or lack of actions, you get the point.

    The only way to lose weight is to exercise more and to eat less. You really need to do both.

The opposite is also true. To gain weight you need to eat more and exercise less. Thats what does it.

Sadly we (WE) always seem to be going one way or the other. No in between. These are two sides of the same coin and we have to choose one or the other.

Chin up and step forward.

    All it takes is taking that first step. You can get yourself out of your rut one little step at a time. Congrats on taking that first step. emoticon
