That time of the year

It's the time of year when we just get sick over and over again. Yuck!

I'm not sure if we're still sick or if we caught something else and they just overlapped or what, but I'm ready to move on with life ASAP! We've got things to do!

I ordered my seeds for this summer and just got them in the mail. It's so fun this time of year to dream about the future "perfect" garden this time. Soon it will be time to start some early broccoli and cauliflower seeds too. Love seeing those little seedlings busting through the soil! I can't wait until we're well enough to haul out our grow lights and shelves!

Good to have things to look forward to!

Tough Time Right Now

I was feeling very optimistic about all this, then this fibro flair started. Wow is it a big one too.

My legs and feet feel like they are on fire and throbbing like they should be swollen, yet they aren't. Our sheltie ran into my legs earlier and I thought I was going to throw up it hurt so badly. My muscles all over are spasming, sore, stiff and sensitive. I can only shuffle and the more I move, the more it burns. Great day to be babysitting our two neighbor's children too. They were good about it though, and they did help entertain our son.

I want to binge on sugar sooooo badly! I haven't yet, but no peanut butter and crackers is safe.

    Stay strong! I too suffer from Fibromyalgia and it's hard to stay strong when things are hurting so badly. When the PB urge (or sugar!) urge hits, just think how far you've come. You can do it!

New Goal - Day 1

I know I wasn't going to start another challenge so soon, but it dawned on me that I don't have to just take things away!

So my new challenge is to make sure I get at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies every day. I'm hoping this will make me pay attention and pick these things over other not as healthy choices. I plan on trying to eat a serving of fruit or vegetables first, then if I'm still hungry maybe eat other things. It's not a "rule" - just a way to fit them in with out stuffing them all in at the end of the day to achieve my goal. Trying to develop a new habit!

So for today, still no sugar and I had 2 veggies and 4 fruits. Yes, I do see that I favor fruit. Maybe I can fit in some more veggies with dinner to even it out!

I will get there step by step, one goal at a time!

No Sugar - Day 7 Goal!!!

I made it through day 7 and have no plans to eat any sugar any time soon! Yeah!!!

Today was a little rougher because I'm really, really tired today. I think I over did things yesterday and now I'm paying for it. My legs are burning up to mid calf today too, but that's still better than before! I think being sooooo tired caused more cravings today, but I didn't give in!

Time to rest now. That's what I really need!

No Sugar -Day 6

Things are definitely better now!

We went to a berry patch and picked blueberries, then took our son to his first movie this afternoon. It was so much fun!

My energy seems to have evened out, and I'm still getting things done. I'm sleeping better most nights, and the terrible burning in my legs and arms has gone away. Yeah!

I'm going to continue "no sugar" as an ongoing goal - with special occasions allowing a special treat. Special occasions being things like holidays and the treat better be really special! Not even going to try this until much more time has passed.

I still haven't decided what my next goal is, but my husband thinks I should give it another week before adding more changes. To let this new habit get more settled in. Don't want to get overwhelmed and crash. I understand his point, this is a lifestyle change so I want to keep going!
