Now that I'm at goal weight, it is so important for me to remember:
a) to leave the foods I cannot say "stop" to alone.
b) to continue exercising
c) how much effort it took to get here
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY
d) how very much I want to stay here.

I will do what it takes...whatever it takes. I will continue to make healthy food choices and appropriate portion choices. I will do what it takes.

Oh oh oh! I just have to share the joy I feel this morning and this is why. We went to a church turkey supper last night and invited 9 guests. I said "no" to: apple juice, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, peas, fresh buttered white Italian bread, and dessert. The coleslaw, white-meat turkey, homemade cranberry sauce and squash were fabulous!!! I had healthy portions and made healthy choices and this morning I was rewarded with the scales remaining the same. Yay!

    I know the feeling, it has taken me 2 months and I finally lost another pound. But thru all that my clothes have fit better and I can move a lot better. The scale can really mess with our heads so I would find other means to show how great you have been doing.

  I do not weigh every day most times not even once a week I just feel better and even if it is the same number it is ok because I know I am eating right and that I am exercising

Oh my goodness. Does anyone else realize how wonderful SparkPeople is at preparing us for the holiday?? They are helping us to understand that our traditional choices are NOT the healthiest and how to change them up to improve dinner. You can't BUY that kind of knowledge!!! It's sooooooooooooo valuable to our "FOREVER" health and well-being!
