Going Strong despite my shortcomings

So I went over my calories a couple times, and indulged in some fast food. Despite that though, overall I am eating healthier and that was my major goal. Anybody can go on a crash diet in my opinion and lose 15pds only to gain 30 back later. It takes real determination to develop healthier eating habits and stick with it. Yeah I may have my fast food now and then, but honestly I eat healthy 85-90 percent of the time. I know and see people on here who like eat 100 percent organic and thats fine, but every now and then I want a sandwich from McDonald's or pizza from pizza hut or Giordano's. I believe its okay everything in moderation. We are on here promoting healthy eating habits not starvation or unrealistic goals. So ladies and gents continue to track its a good source but if you do eat unhealthy DO NOT QUIT !!!! KEEP GOING STRONG workout an extra 20 min if needed, just do what needs to be done.

Keeping your head up

During this winter season its hard to go to the gym, but I want to encourage all my spark friends regardless if its super cold or super hot where you are keep going. We all know the feeling when we miss a day so lets not get ourselves in that predicament lets keep going strong and we will be where we want in our due time.

    Well said. I know when I miss a day of exercising. At home or the gym I feel like something is missing from my day. I feel guilty. Keeping active keeps my emotions in check. Have a great day. emoticon emoticon

Really Motivated...

I am really motivated and getting a lot of comments from friends and associates about my weight loss. It feels really good. It motivates me to stay in the gym and eating healthier has become a lot easier, and I am becoming more self-aware of how to eat. People think self-control has something to do with weight loss, but I think it has to do with you as a person... you have to train yourself to lose the weight and to be healthy.

Lost 24 pounds over 5 months and steady going

So I went to the doctor and after being there the last time which was about a month ago I lost 8 more pounds and overall my doctor told me I lost 24 pounds over the span of 5 months. I was thinking to myself well it could of been more, but he told me its hard to do and not a lot of people can do what I have been doing this is keeping me encouraged and motivated to keep losing weight and all the compliments I have been getting are extremely helpful. I am down from a 26-28 to almost a 22 in my pants now... (they are a little snug still got some abdominal work to do.) I am still grateful and all praises go to GOD for giving me the strength to keep up with this. It was super hard as a college student to eat healthy but I manged to get it done. I faced my inner problems and decided enough was enough hopefully by my birthday another 10-15 will come off. :)

Getting Weighed on Friday

So Friday I have a doctor's appointment and I am getting weighed again so I am hoping I have lost some more I am confident I have since I can now wear a 22 in my pants (its a little snug, but at least I can button them lol). I am finally getting a hold on my fast food addictions. I can eat the fast food sometime, but I remain REALISTIC and within my calorie count. I feel now that I have control over my eating habits and have stuck with my exercise routine I am going to be successful with this weight loss experience. I think people believe they can't do it because they have to eat like rabbits. Actually I eat pretty good, and weight is coming off its just a matter of what you eat and how much of it you eat. Also its a matter of how often. Remember no McDonald's or any fast food at that everyday. If you began to slip with eating, balance it by hitting the gym a couple of extra days its all for the best.
