Almost April!

I cannot believe a month has almost gone by! I joined 2 challenges tonight. Both regarding exercising. I decided to dust off my wii, and incorporate that into a 10 minute a day exercise challenge. I have gone to my surgeon, and he loosened up my band. I have had over a year of problems with it, but honestly didn't really think being too tight was the cause. He took out 3cc's and I still have 1.5 cc in it. What a difference! I don't get stuck anymore! Whew! I do have to be VERY mindful of what I am eating now. I can eat quite a bit more, so I really have to plan things out. I am actually doing great with it. I have been so much more mindful of my meals and feel more in control now. I was having to eat things that were not the best of choice, but gave me no trouble.

Renew and Restart

emoticon So today marks a new beginning for me. Yes, my weight is up, but it is actually down. I have been on my usual roller coaster, and it is time to get off of it and start standing on firm ground again! Things have been crazy around my family, and I have realized that they are not going to get less crazy for a bit, so I am committing to taking some time for me daily to concentrate on ME. I will start moving...slowly, but moving nonetheless! I am also going to get onto sparkpeople daily and either blog or go on a board or 2!

    You always need some me time. We often are wrapped up in what we need to do for everybody else that we forget about our needs, and need to think about our health and what we need. After you start doing a routine ,for a while ,it will become part of your everyday living. Good luck and put yourself high up on that list. emoticon

As the weekend ends

I have been so busy working outside gardening, mowing the lawn, washing the car and motorcycle, I did not do any tracking or "official " exercise. I DO however feel like I did a lot of "moving around" which is good! I am actually a tad sore from some of the bending and reaching while planting, and making a new bed for my raspberry plants.

I know tracking is very important, and believe me ... I have been very aware of everything I ate this weekend, and I actually made awesome choices! I will be back on the boards tomorrow, and need to put in my weight for the June 2-3 lb challenge IF I can find the group..LOL

Both gardening and mowing the lawn are exercise that's covered in the Cardio section of the Fitness page. I'll bet you racked up some serious time doing both of those!

New Habits kicking in

Well I am really proud of myself today. I usually walk with a co worker at the first half of my lunch, but today she had a meeting and it was a lunch meeting. I was thinking..well thats okay, I can take the day off..and relax. As lunchtime got closer...I put my sneakers on..and decided..okay I can do a half mile today..at least is something. As I walked and got to the halfway point, I thought..well I MIGHT as well do the whole mile! So I did, and when I walked in the door, I did the mile in 20 minutes! I have been averaging more like 30 minutes! I am SO glad I went. I think its becoming a habit now :) I do just need to push, and NOT make lame butt excuses! I feel SO good!

Rainy Mondays...

Well..another rainy day! Geesh...It actually feels like fall rather than almost summer here in NH.
Stayed on track over the weekend.

Brought all of my lunch and snacks to work today. I find I do so much better when I do that.

I am still struggling to get all of my calories in on a daily basis. Do I keep munching till bed? I don't really want to do that so I will just see how it goes with the lower calorie intake for a few weeks. I feel great..not hungry, dizzy, tired or anything. Feel pretty good really.

Tomorrow, I am going to sign up for the rowing machine at work and do 30 minutes of my lunch break on it.

Oh..and I did almost 50 min on Wii tonight! I haven't been on it in MONTHS as it loves to tell me... emoticon. I put in fresh batteries and am on the go! If I can't go out to play, I will do it in my livingroon!

Okay...gotta get stuff ready for tomorrow, and hit the sack.

    Still rainy & yucky next door in VT too :( :( Be sure to eat enough calories to keep your body from going into starvation mode & stop you from losing weight. Your body needs the nutrition, especially if you are exercising. Stay healthy & happy !! emoticon
