I am back here again. I have forgotten my healthy lifestyle choices and as such have put on 15 pounds and countless inches. I am getting flabby again. This won't do. Starting over from the beginning. It is so important to track what I am eating! Gym today at ten thirty!

Cruise lines make it so easy to stay focused on living a healthy lifestyle. Too bad I forgot. Yes, I ate lots of fruits and vegetables on board the ship,along with with everything else. Not once did I feel a hunger pang. I took the stairs instead of the elevator most of the time. I even went kayaking. And then I would lay around the pool. And lay and lay. I did drag myself off the lounge chair once to walk 2 miles. That was my exercise for the week I was gone. I'm back and starting again!

    A good reminder - just because we work out or do fitness activities does not mean we want to be even more sedentary the rest of the time. The more generally active our life is, the healthier we can be.

And then I messed up

Yesterday, during the day, I ate healthy and smart. I went to the gym for an hour of Strive( like circuit training). I ate a healthy dinner. And then I messed up. Around 7:30, my daughter asked me to watch movies with her. Two bags of microwave popcorn, a bag of animal crackers,6 servings of Goldfish and 5 Snickers eggs later the movies were over. What had I done? I was angry with myself! It's a new day today. I WILL do better today and tomorrow!

    You will definitely do better. For the future, you might think about how you can better control snacking during movies - such as only bringing one item, one serving worth, or making a point to have a water container and drink each time you've taken a bit.

    Don't beat yourself up over this. I have done the same thing many times over and it does no good for your self esteem or your motivation. You didn't gain your weight overnight and it won't come off overnight. Remember that Rome wasn't built in a day and you can't get the fabulous figure you want in a day either. Just dust yourself off and start over. Try to keep the mindset that I only need to lose one more pound and it should make your weight loss go easier. Take care

Snow today

We had snow today. Not alot. A couple of inches. I went out and played in it! Oh, what fun! I had forgotten the joy of running around in the white wonderland. Made a snow angel. I also made a spiffy looking snowman! It felt great to want to be outside!
