My dog has a big mouth :/

Wednesday, November 04, 2009

OK its been a really busy day I have been running around here and there..post office lines, ups, store etc I was there all day long..aughh.

I got up at 4:00am happy as can be as always...I head to the office (here at home) to do some work, before you know it its 9:45am I start thinking oh sht.. I havent fed the dog...I go to the kitchen and there next to the island Miss Cookie is laying on the floor..I looked at her and said omg I am so sorry..I start to feed her and I hear grrr coming out of her as if saying to me (thanks for making me wait)

I smiled as if nothing and start to get dress cause I have to head out. I do my thing at home and head out...6 hours later I come home.

I am beat and tired and I need a energy boost...I look in the pantry and nothing, Ok what I was looking for is CANDY any kind of CANDY,lol...then I remember (snap) I have a snicker in my purse :) I walk to get my purse as I am walking my dog is watching every move and looking at me as if (what do you have in there)...I look at her as if she can understand what I am saying and I tell her its all mine.. I walk to the kitchen and put the snicker down on the island, then I start to cut it up into small blocks so it can last longer :) I see her looking at me with them big eyes as if you better give me some...so I turn my back to her and face the other way..of course the dog goes that way too and she starts to mentally tell me, I WANT SOME CANDY TOO! I tell her Miss cookie I cant give this to you its chocolate now go on..(she wasnt happy) she growled and walked away. I was happy cause she was gone :)

Now 3 hours passed since this happen..hubby got home and says how was your day, I told him great :) very busy... The I go babe I am so hungry, Miss Cookie Growls really loud (at me) and then looks at him and starts crying..Hubby goes whats wrong with the dog, I looked really concern cause IDK what happen. He goes did you make her mad? I said no, why would I. The DOG NOW..walks to the trash can and starts to cry ( you know that high pitch cry) I was still blind and said whats wrong Miss Cookie, she looked at me and growled again..ok then it snap OMG I dont think that she can remember that candy...The dog then starts to scratch the can and hubby said let me see whats in here..he opens the trash can, and there he pulls out the snicker paper...MY DOG starts to bark loud and all happy. Damn dog ratted me out... You see I am not suppose to have candy at all we had a bet, and I got caught..Thanks to Miss Cookie (AKA the DOG).

So if your trying to hide something dont do it in front of your dog they will rat you out. Oh we are not in talking to each other right now, maybe tomorrow when she cools off,lol.. (really).

Peace and Love,Sonia

MOOGLEMOO 11/4/2009 10:01PM

When I was about 9 or 10 years old, I had this dalmation and we called her Snoopy. My mom used to go to all these PTA meetings and stuff so I would stay home alone except my neighbor would come over and check on me, tuck me in, etc. Well I remember one time I wanted these home made cookies that my mom made so I grabbed a couple real quick before my neighbor came by and headed upstairs to eat them. She came over faster than I anticipated so I quickly hid them behind my books on my shelf. Well, Snoopy just SAT THERE staring at my book shelf, crying. So of course my neighbor is all like, what's the matter Snoopy, is there something there?!? And finds the cookies. Oh my goodness, I felt HORRIBLE, so guilty and ashamed. And mad cuz I wasn't going to get my cookies!!! Stupid dog LOL
FISHINGLADY65 11/4/2009 8:35PM

Oh my goodness. That sounds like my Sir Drake. He wants his PuP-a-Roni every time I get a treat too. They are just little people, you know. How funny. I love it.

Hearing Aids (nothing to do with diet)

Wednesday, September 23, 2009

This s something that I want to share with who ever.......

My daughter is what I have always called gifted and blessed. The day that she was born I knew she was different. You see my daughter is semi deaf. Like all parents I think that she is beautiful. She reads lips very well and can sign faster then most people can read. This is her Gods gift. I never looked at it as she is handicap or why me. No, this is a gift that I am blessed to have. My daughter is 17 can speak fully Spanish,English,Sign language, and now is learning Japanese.

Reason for this note:
My daughter has always worn hearing aids all her life. Yesterday she got another pair more powerful, (new style) plus her hearing has lost more. Doctor told me that she has lost quite a lot more of her hearing, of course like all mothers my heart sank.....in fact my heart was bleeding, but you have to be strong and hold a your tears act as if its all good. I know that God has a plan for her and ((he's is not done yet)).

Anyway, we were walking out of the office into the hall way and she stops to tell me that she can hear the rain drops from outside...(I thought she did before) I just brushed her off,we keep walking then she stops again, (MOM...I can hear your shoes on the floor) I looked at her and said what are you talking about....she looked at me so happy and said, No Mom I stop hearing your feet last year, I just didnt want to hurt your feeling...I started to cry, I was sobbing......I felt like a bad mom.......(But I had no idea) She then told me I was always looking doe shadows or reading more your lips.....I asked her then when I call you on the phone how do you hear me, she goes I close my door and go into the closet. Needless to say, I cried for a while there holding her in my arms. She asked me why are you crying so much mom, I said its b/c I love you with more then my life...... We start heading home, and I see my daughter laughing and laughing and I said whats so funny...she goes nothing..but still laughing hard...then she goes ok I will tell you cause my stomach hurts already from laughing, I said what is it....she goes you have a bugger that keep flapping in and out of your nose on the side its a tiny one....I grab a tissue and go to grab it, (cause I am driving) that thing was a house on the side of my nose,LMAO...then both of us started to laugh harder...I had no choice but to pull over just to laugh..Hello it was funny to us,lol

Many think that a person with hearing aids is handicap. But, I have always told my daughter she is gifted and blessed. She knows 3 languages and speaks them well. Spanish, (duh...I am Cuban she has no choice its free) English another great language its Free and sign language its free too. She is now going to study to learn Japanese (Not free) lol... My daughter can talk very well, has a voice....

Life is great and it gets better everyday! Peace and Love to you, Sonia

AZ_CHICA2011 11/1/2009 11:35PM

    Hi

Your story brought tears to my eyes. Like your daughter I also wear haring aids. I was born premature and when I was born the doctors told my parents that I was going to be deaf, blind or dead. All my life I have struggled in school and conversations because I was missing so much information. My parents wanted to buy them for me but I refused because I didnt think I would wear them. About 7 years ago I started working for the school for the deaf and blind and I agree 100% deaf people should be considered a "culture"instead of a handicap. They have their own language and each country with their own language is considered a culture. In January of this year I went back to school after being off for a semester and I noticed my hearing had gotten significantly worse. I told my parents this and right away they bought me hearing aids. My life has become so much better with them and I wish I would have gotten them a lot earlier. I am so happy to hear that you have such a great relationship with your daughter!
CADDIVA1 10/29/2009 12:18PM

Your daughter sounds amazing and you do also. You have a closeness that is not easily gotten. Keep that always. She is truly talented and blessed to have you in her life. You both have a wonderful relationship that is priceless. I know what you mean when you said you cried.. it is sad to not be able to communicate with the one you love.
My husband is deaf and being someone that can hear sometimes helps the other person that can not hear. We talk on the phone and he has to take his aids out at times. He wasn't born that way, but he got it we think when he was younger and had to take medicine. How did she learn to sign? Can you suggest anything that would help my husband and I to learn? Well sorry to be so late in reading your blog. I am uplifted by both of your spirits. Thank you.
DOTSLADY 10/14/2009 2:17PM

Your daughter sounds beautiful (like ma). Language is a gift, even signing is if you ask me (I bet I swear a lot or say weird things when I spell/sign - lol). My daughter cannot hear low or high tones/pitches or whatever the correct terminology is. She, on her own, was drawn to sign language and was pretty good. I wish I signed. And I wish I spoke Spanish. And I wish I would get my buns out on the road - lol. It was a nice break to spend some time with you and your thoughts. I'm happy for your daughter. Ain't technology grand? (I have ENT doctor friends who go to Africa and give the gift of hearing via solar-powered hearing aids - no batteries in Africa!)

You are a wonderful support to your daughter. You're both fortunate to have each other.

Sonia I am so sorry I did not read this before. You are so blessed to have a wonderful daughter. Your blog is very uplifting, We should always be so Thankful for what God has given us. You have a great attitude with your daughter. You are a very caring mother.
I wear hearing aids and I know what she was saying. God Bless you me sweet friend.
NISSANGIRL 9/24/2009 8:51PM

Your daughter sounds like a wonderful kid and you did a great job raising her. She is a gifted person and very smart to know that many languages . most people only know one. I am so glad she could hear the the rain and your footsteps, I know that had to make her happy. Keep up the good work Sonia you amaze me. Have a great Night! emoticon emoticon

Love your story-THANK YOU for sharing, such a precious and "private" moment...love that you shared the dance in your nose...boogie! GAWD, I would of had to pull over too...my kids crack me up all the time.
They are a joy!
My own son was born with severe ear problems. So far, he doesn't wear hearing aids..but he's real careful about being around noise.
Your daughter is beautiful, inside and out...and you're a fabulous Mother.
SATIA62 9/24/2009 7:37AM

I told my son, who is fluent in Japanese (and English, duh) that he should learn Japanese sign language because it would add a layer to his ability to teach English in Japan (one of his goals). Dreaming in Hindi is a wonderful memoir by Kathy Russell Rich about a woman who goes to India to learn Hindu. As part of her experience, she also learns sign language. Hands of My Father by Myron Uhlberg is another wonderful memoir by a man whose parents were both deaf and grew up at a time when deaf people were thought to be unintelligent. His story of dealing with the prejudice and hostility directed towards his parents is poignant without being maudlin. You might enjoy these books.

You have such a great attitude! I have to admit, though, that I loved the critter in your nose! OMG! ROFL!!!

(ONLY ME) LMAO

Friday, September 11, 2009

Hello there HAPPY FRIDAY!
(ONLY ME)

We just got back from a restaurant that I will NEVER IN MY LIFE go again!! I was so happy sipping my soup and waiting for my meal, as I was finishing my soup, I thought I saw something on the wall but I didnt say anything thinking it was me going crazy.....lol. so a few mins later the man come with our main meal, I am going down on my food and I look up and see this lady pointing at me then I feel something on my neck....... I put my hand up there and it was a ROACH..yes A ROACH....I stood up fast the table went forward I was screaming like a woman in labor, the food was all over the floor...this wasn't a tiny roach it was(( BIG)) then the lady on the other table started to scream too it was on the floor now..my dear husband was laughing too hard to even help that AS HOLE! I was very very mad....the manager came running to see whats going on, I grab him by the shirt and pulled him super close to me so he can feel my breath in his throat as if I was (HALF MAN) and told him there was a roach on my neck....THANK GOD the stupid roach was still there( on the floor)..he was telling me sorry etc etc..Sorry it wasn't on you it was on me I yelled still holding him close to me...(hubby was still laughing so hard) Then after a min or so, they gave everyone in that restaurant on that side free meal plus dessert as for me HEL NO, we did not want anything what so ever FREE at all, we came home.

Once in the car I and I was more relax I couldn't stop laughing with hubby. Hubby goes, babe if you would have seen your face and that lady's face. Tomorrow I will report the restaurant. Besides that its over and I am now laughing about it,lol...I still cant believe what happen,LMAO..
Peace and Love,Sonia

Sonia - a person from another country may have put that roach in the soup and called it a lil extra PROTEIN. What a wimp! lol

What an awful experience, so sorry you had to go through that. I am glad you told the manager off and what he can do with his free meal. You have to admit it was funny (after) thanks for posting and have a great day! emoticon
APPLE09 9/13/2009 12:53AM

Sonia, you tell um girl!! I think I might have been just as mad at my hubby for laughing than I was at the manager though.
All joking aside, I completely understand how you feel. I was in a restaurant 2 yrs ago and a roach fell from the over head duct, missed my bowl of soup by 1/8 of an inch, falling into my lap and then into my purse. The manager on duty was a younger guy that was more afraid of the thing than I was--I had to get it out of my purse and kill it myself!!
Make sure you complain on Monday. I'd complain to the top person!! I wouldn't have eaten any more there either--no matter how much free stuff they gave me!!

It is good that you can laugh about it afterwards -- I would be staying away from that restaurant and reporting them too

You know it has to be a Sonia happening emoticon

I hope you have better restaurant days ahead. I think I would be very leary for a while. Who know what goes on behind them closed doors in the kitchen.

Good luck my friend!! WOW!!! I think I would have reacted the same way.

Glad you didn't eat first then see it. I probably would have thew up all over the place.

OMG!!!! Only you!!! I know you must have been so pissed. I would have been. My better half and I were home( in Wisconsin) visiting my kids and my mom and decided to take everyone out to Olive Garden for dinner. We were all having a really great time. The waitress came and took our orders and brought our drinks to our table, when she leaned over to give my son his drink she tipped the tray and my better half and I were soaked because all the rest of the drinks fell off the tray right on to the both of us. They did tell us the our meals would be free, but we both sat there colder then heck. We do laugh about it now.

Thank goodness it was only our drinks and not a roach or bug. I feel so sorry for you, but I would have freaked too!!

Have a good day Hon!
