Delete multiple foods from tracker at once

Wednesday, July 08, 2009

We launched a small tweak to the food tracker today, enabling you to delete more than one food at a time. On the bottom right of your myNutrition page you should now see a button labelled "Remove Multiple Foods." This will bring up a page enabling you to remove multiple foods at once.

A number of members requested this to make it easier to delete mistaken entries, especially entries from Food Groupings.

I don't understand how this works. I want to use the meal plan for breakfast, lunch and snacks, so I want to delete dinners (hoping they won't show up on the grocery list for the week). I thought this feature would let me do that? Anyone know?

Then to have to wait for the computer to think, delete & reposition my page wastes my valuable time. Now I can delete all my mistakes at once. So, how about a tool to MOVE these items between my meals on the same day?? Thanks for a wonderful site, it's the best!

I thought it was a great idea. I downloaded it, and it survived one web search then converted back. This is a new HP mini notebook and it came with windows vista installed. (Hard to find a new computer without it). I got more porn spam on yahoo than mail, so I don't yahoo! My search over-ride has been successful with Google and they keep the spam out of my mail box! If I have to download SPARKPEOPLE.com every time I log on, that's one more stress I don't need. I'm willing to try searching on the site when I'm here =) emoticon
I'm back, clicking on the google feed allowed me to add the spark search to my google page, but I don't if that qualifies for searhing from the spark page. I guess I'll find out sooner or later emoticon

On the Air in Charlotte and Cincinnati, the Queen Cities!

Thursday, July 02, 2009

Greetings, SparkPeople!

Are you heading to a Fourth of July cookout or backyard barbecue this weekend?

Are you worried about staying on track with all that food around?

If you're in the Charlotte area, then tune in to the Candy + Potter show on Friday to hear DailySpark Editor Stepfanie share tips about how to eat right and still enjoy yourself at a cookout.

Candy + Potter airs daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on 107.9 The Link. UPDATE: The interview will air at 10:45 a.m. EST!

For more information on listening and downloading the podcast, click here!

If you're spending Fourth of July weekend in SparkPeople's hometown of Cincinnati, aka the other Queen City, tune in this Sunday at 3 p.m. to hear our resident healthy foodie and yoga teacher Stepfanie chat with the energetic women of Cooking with Caitlin on their weekly radio show "What's Hot"!

Stepfanie and co-hostess Kelly will introduce the other two co-hosts, Molly and Caitlin, to SparkPeople, and then she'll talk about finding an affordable yoga studio in Cincinnati, finding your passion in life and how she came to work at SparkPeople.

The women of Cooking with Caitlin are full of energy, and Kelly is a HUGE fan of SparkPeople, so the show is bound to be a good one! (They've also guest blogged on the dailySpark!)

Listen to the hourlong show at 3 p.m. on 55KRC or download the podcast later that afternoon.

Enjoy your holiday weekend!

SparkCheers!

P.S. For tips to help you stay on track at all those Fourth of July and belated Canada Day BBQs, check out Stepfanie's post "Your Summer Party Survival Guide" on the dailySpark!

NEW: Decide What Shows Up in Your Friend Feed

Thursday, July 02, 2009

Today we launched a new setting on our Friend Feed that was highly requested by our members. You can now choose which actions you would like to see from other members in your Friend Feed. If you go to your Friend Feed Privacy Settings, you will notice another set of checkboxes labeled “Items I See From My Friends” near the bottom of the page. Simply uncheck the boxes next to the actions you don't want to see in your Friend Feed and SAVE your changes.

We added this option to streamline and personalize what you see in your Friend Feed so that you can keep up with your SparkFriends more easily! We hope you enjoy it!

Another suggestion, On the nutrition page, can you add a section for a muli-vitamin, and maybe even to personalize and ask if a person takes meds and then have reminders put in on the nutrition page that states to take your meds with each meal. I know that would help me a lot to remember to take my vitamins. Eventhough they sit on my desk I still forget, but if I had to check it off, maybe even a Spark Point as incentive. What do you think? emoticon emoticon

i think spark points should be utilized in the store as well. for example there should be a price for things and then have the option to use so many spark points as dollars or each item could have it's own value so if you spend so many spark points then you can purchase the product for a little less etc.
