Introducing Secrets of Success - a new Community feature

Hi everyone

We are VERY excited to announce the launch of a new feature today - Secrets of Success.

This community-based feature enables members to share their favorite "secrets" for living a healthy lifestyle. We see thousands of great secrets shared each week on Teams, blogs and message boards. However, this feature will help bring all these great tips together in one place.

Here are some details on the feature:
- Any member can submit a secret into a variety of categories.
- Other members can comment on secrets and vote for secrets they "Like"
- Everyone can browse and search secrets, based on topic or popularity
- To access this feature, simply click the top "Community" navigation tab and then select "Secrets"
- Members get 1 point a day for either creating or "Liking" a secret (there's also an easy link to the feature from the SparkPoints page)

As the feature grows we'll likely make additional enhancements. This may include more categories, more integration with things like your SparkPage and Friend Feed, and email notifications.

We hope you like this feature and look forward to all the great secrets that are shared. If you have any questions or comments please leave them below. And please share your secrets now if you have them!

New way to get email SparkPoints - if emails getting blocked

Hi everyone

We are still working to resolve our email problems with Yahoo. Also as mentioned in a past post most people not on Yahoo should be receiving emails.

We made a site enhancement today so you can also view today's daily emails on the site. We thought this would be helpful for days when you can't get your emails. You can read the email content and also earn SparkPoints. To get to the emails you can:
- Go to your Start page
- Click on "Account/Email Preferences" on the upper left of the Start page
- Click on the "Email" tab on your Account Preferences page
- Next to each of our 6 daily newsletter titles you will see a "View today's" link; clicking this will bring up today's email
- Currently you can only see today's email (March 23), but over time you'll be able to click back to older emails you might have missed

We also lowered the daily point cap for email SparkPoints from 50 to 10. The reason we used to have at 50 was in case you didn't get emails from us for a few days because of technical issues but then got them all later.

Hi everyone

We've very excited to announce our newest site, SparkSavings.com. At SparkSavings we have modified the goal setting and achievement approach from SparkPeople to help members with personal finance and savings goals!

At SparkSavings you can:
- Create and maintain a monthly budget
- Track your daily expenses to measure against your budget
- Set savings goals and track your savings
- Get great personal finance articles and calculators
- Interact on message boards and Teams dedicated to personal finance

We launched SparkSavings for a few reasons. The first is that many members have identified money as a reason for causing emotional eating and other issues with their healthy lifestyle program. Another is that we know that when you set and achieve goals in one area of your life, like health, you are more likely to set and reach goals in other areas. This "criss-cross effect" can help in many ways, including saving so you can spend your money on what makes you happiest!

Since we feel SparkSavings can help all our members in one way or another we are giving 25 SparkPoints for checking the site out. Just visit SparkSavings and fill out your monthly budget to get your points. This new SparkPoints task is listed at the bottom of the "One Time Challenges" section of SparkPoints. As with our other sites such as dailySpark and SparkRecipes you can use your same SparkPeople.com login at SparkSavings.
