SparkPeople has long offered customizable weight loss tickers, which members can choose to display at the bottom of their SparkPages and message board posts to share their progress.
In the past, you could only display a ticker if you also had a SparkPage, and "weight loss" and "weight maintenance" were the only types of progress you could share.
Thanks to great member suggestions, today we have updated these progress tickers so that any member (with or without a SparkPage) can create and display them on their message board posts. We also added nine more ways to share progress toward your goals that aren't about your weight, including:
- SparkPoints earned
- Monthly fitness minutes
- Countdown (days) until a special event
- Number of days you've given up a bad habit (like smoking)
- Inches lost
- Body fat percentage
- And more!
Now you can edit and set your Ticker preferences anytime from this page
. In the future, you can find it in under the "Community" tab of your account/email preferences page
. And even simpler, anytime you actually SEE one of your own message board posts, you'll see a little "Edit" button that also brings you to this page (if you have a ticker) or a prompt to add one (if you don't have one displayed).
