We launched an often requested enhancement to the myNutrition page today. You can now add extra meal categories for tracking food! Many members have requested this because they eat more than one snack a day. So now you can add as many other meal categories as you'd like.
To add new categories:
1) Go to your myNutrition page
2) At the bottom of your day's entries, click the button that reads "Add/Edit My Extra Meal Categories"
3) You can then click to add a new category, and type in any name that you'd like (Snack 2, Mid-morning Snack, Morning Break, etc)
After adding a new category, you can edit or delete the categories, plus you can change their order at the bottom of your page. Please note that when you add new categories they will always show up at the bottom of your page, under the normal categories.
We hope this makes the Food Tracker an even better tool to help you learn to eat better and reach your health goals!

Here are some of the new things you’ll see:
New "Expert Blogs". Coaches Dean, Jen and Nicole, as well as SparkGuy, post news, tips and motivation in their blogs each week.
New "Lifestyle Centers" tab. Our Lifestyle Centers are in-depth guides to a variety of life stages and interests. With articles written by SparkPeople's experts and support from a vibrant Community of people like you, you'll learn how to make healthy habits fit into your lifestyle—not the other around. Check out our Lifestyle Centers for Men, Seniors, College Students, Women, Families, People Maintaining their Weight Loss and more.
New "Videos" tab. Now you can easily access all of our fitness and workout videos. And with a "new videos" section, you’ll also be able to keep up with all the new videos we add to the site.

We launched an enhancement to our weight loss tickers today where you now have the option to not show your actual weight, but instead your goal. If you go to Edit SparkPage and to your ticker section, you will see 2 options:
1 - Show my starting weight, goal weight, and current weight (example starting 180, goal 160, current weight 170)
2 - Show my total pounds to lose and pounds lost (example starting 0, goal 20, pounds lost 10)
So basically option 1 used to be the only option (and if you make no changes how your ticker will appear), and you can now change to option 2 if you'd like.
This change was based on feedback from members who preferred not to share their actual weight but still wanted to share in their progress and success.
