I have been a little MIA for a bit. Mostly lost in crochet, but it's summer time so that means fishing trips with hubby, trapesing (sp?) up and down fish banks, swimming with kiddo's, and gardening. Not to mention general yard duties. All in all, I think it is paying off since I have lost another 6.6 pounds since my last weigh in.

On another positive note, we have begun to reduce the O2. I can take it off during the day as long as my sats don't drop below 90. I'm getting closer to the goal of not having to wear it anymore.

It's easy to get caught up in things like crochet. So many interesting patterns, but it's good that your back on track. Just keep plugging away.

Cleaning house/exercise

Tuesday, June 11, 2013

Does cleaning house count toward exercise?

If so, how much?

I ask because my vacuum died a mysterious death (meaning no one in my house knows what happened to it.....I suspect the dust bunnies). Meanwhile I am now sweeping my carpets and working up a sweat emoticon ....This got me to wondering, emoticon how many calories did I just burn off? LOL

My theme song this week so far has been Mi Vida Loca......

Yes house cleaning count but I don't know how much. They showed a article that told you. Good luck with the vacuum.

A little success

Tuesday, June 04, 2013

I haven't been weighing myself daily, like I am supposed to (I know, my bad) since I just got my new scale yesterday. I checked my weight this morning and according to it I dropped 6 lbs. Now, I figure part of that is due to it being a different scale, but it still gives me a little lift.

Test results are in

Saturday, June 01, 2013

Well, after a long wait, my test results are finally back in....No, I don't have a thyroid problem, but my blood sugar level is borderline, so I need to lose the weight and no more sugar. In the meantime, I did an overnight O2 study. I have sleep apnea and once we get the insurance thing figured out, my doc wants me to do a sleep study. YIPPEE!

Gunny did a sleep study ,, their relatively easy, you just have to stay overnight where ever they are testing you ,, he now uses a C-pap, machine which is nice for me cause now he doesn't snore LOL .

I would take it Fran ,, it will
1. help you sleep,
2. with better sleep the weight loss is better. and
3. Helps also with stress and hormone levels.which can hinder weight loss emoticon

I hope that you can get the sleep study. A lot of people don't realize sleep apnea plays havoc with a persons metabolism and can make it harder to lose weight. Using a c-pap or bi-pap machine cake make a big difference, but you need the sleep study to qualify. Good Luck!

Cheap made products

Friday, May 31, 2013

Well, the brand new scale I bought at the beginning of the year died.....I had it a total of 4 months and it no longer works. What happened to making a quality product that would outlast it's warranty?

Maybe it has a warrenty? Might want to go online and check - maybe they can send you a replacement.
